This was my first camping experience as a family of four with two teenage children and two dogs.
Really good pitch size and it does cater for dogs well with the fact it has an enclosed dog field. Dog field is just a small field of overgrown weeds and could be made more attractive and useable had this had some general upkeep.
The location is peaceful, but there really isn’t much in the local village. A good drive out to do anything.

But Dan was responsive when we arrived and happy to help if needed.

Toilet and shower block were inadequate. Two small toilets which were not cleaned the entire stay to our knowledge.
This campsite was not busy with only 4 other tents and a few caravans.
The whole place could really do with a spruce up.
The track in as previously mentioned in reviews is awful. It’s full of potholes which takes about 10 minutes driving at 5mph.
This really is a big downside to the campsite.

There was no pot wash facilities as mentioned as there was no working hot water which meant taking your washing up bowl into the uncleaned toilets.
The grass was overgrown.
This could be a lovely campsite and I imagine for those with caravans attending the dog training centre it is perfect for, but I would not choose to stay again.
The owners seem to just own the land rather than run a campsite and I think that’s what is missing here.

The site feels really rural, down a long Lane, in the woods with peacocks, owls, rabbits and foxes.
Lots of space between huge pitches.
Friendly hosts and a clean site.
Loads of attractions not far away.

The toilet and shower block is inadequate. Two showers and four toilets for everyone. The female shower was broken so that left one shower for a dozen tent pitches to share. The female sinks were also unusable due to the tap gushing water all over the floor.
No working pot washing facility.
Some holes in the tent pitches which were difficult to avoid.

Secluded peaceful flat site plenty of space great location with woods to explore and open space to fly drone and kites.

Only cold water in the toilet block

Countryside location and quietness of the site.

Hot water availability in women’s toilets and showers, wasn’t always working.

approach too the campsite is as if the Luftwaffe have carpet bombed the road,that many huge pot holes i feared for my car and caravan,makes you think twice about leaving the site to visit anywhere
toilets are terrible,ladies shower was freezing,dirty with no toilet roll,cubiles are so small that you struggle to get your pants down,
pitches are large but the rabbit holes all over make it a bit dodgy in the dark,twisted my ankle on one while walking the dogs.
very rundown and unkept,a real shame as could be a very nice place with a little more tlc

Dog walk was more than adequate

Shower and toilet facilities were very poor,dominated by people who were camping,the road to the campsite is very challenging and If you value your suspension on your car I wouldn't recommend trying to drive up it.A decent shower block(not porta cabin) and making the access road passable will bring more returning business to this site as we won't be returning for these reasons.
