Limited pitches available on a slope

The cabin was spotless, really quaint and a great size. I've stayed in others cabins that didn't feel half as cosy or we're that bit too small, but it was perfect for our three night stay as a couple. There was a small heater which was perfect if we were chilly at night, and the cabin stayed lovely and warm throughout the day just from the heat of the sun. The combined toilet and shower facilities were brilliant, clean, and inviting enough that I didn't feel scared at all popping to them in the middle of the night! Prime location in the middle of Buxton. Lovely view of the viaduct when we stepped out of cabin in the morning. Would definitely return.

Beautiful site with very clean amenities. Helpful wardens and very family orientated. Had a lovely stay.

Only dislike is fact an unruly dog on a very long lead bit my friend as she was trying to protect her old (toothless) dog. Wardens did go and see them. They should not be taking that dog to any camp sites as it’s dangerous.

Showers were amazing best we have had on any campsite water was always warm

The non electric field was like camping on side of everest unless you were fortunate to get 1 of the pitches that were fairly level. Prob bout 6 ish pitches. The building of née toilet block behind out pitch workmen there just before 8 every morning. I know it got to be finished but would have loved a lie in

Lovely warm welcome with facilities explained. Whole site was clean and tidy throughout our 2 nights. Toilets, showers and washing up areas were warm, clean and free. Fantastic location with Buxton walkable even for little 3 and 6 year old legs. Quiet time rules followed. New toilet and shower block being built in field for easy access in future

Staff were all really helpful and cheerful. Everywhere was clean and tidy. Lots of space in the tent field and opportunity to play games.
Park was good for the children, as was the small games room.
Lots of dogs around too, which helped put ourselves at ease with the pup.

Not a dislike as such, Unfortunate timing, but the distance to the toilets was a bit of a way from the top field (especially with the 3 year old).
New toilet block being built as we were there. Will be up and running for next visit.

We love this place and visit 3 times a year. It was nice to see a new shower block being applied to the site. My nephew absolutely loves the play ground and happily plays with the other children.
All staff are friendly and happy to help with any enquiries and we really enjoyed the pizza van this visit. We are coming again in august.

Cosy little pods. It had everything we needed. It was clean and cosy. Sitting outside was nice and relaxing with your own bit of grass to the side and picnic bench and sitting inside with the doors open was great too. We loved it that much we booked another while we were there.

Steep slope up to tent pitches which where sloping and uneven.
Access to toilets Not mobility friendly.
Very noisy at night from cars, motorbikes, aircraft and goods trains.
Definately would not camp here again. Probably better for caravans and motorhomes..
