Spent two very nice nights here, facilities were clean and it's a grand little spot near the Coventry canal (Swallows and Goldfinches galore, a couple of swans, spoke to a lady on a boat who had just spotted a Kingfisher and we spotted a Mink swimming in the water).
Pitches are level, gravel and grass, easily identifiable with numbers, a light, ehu and water on each post. Our spot had a neat hedge on each side that gave a good level of privacy (and a visiting Goldfinch that kept bobbing in and out of the branches).
The Plough Inn is just over a kilometre walk along the towpath, you can exit the marina directly onto the canal path via a locked gate (key/key deposit required) or walk through the corn field (turn right immediately out of the front gate) to gain access to the towpath (it's a bit longer and a bit muddy when wet). Pub was lovely but really busy so probably need to book an inside table in advance, it was a nice evening so we ordered a pint and pizza and ate in the garden, which was very nice and we didn't have a wait.
This site is about a 15 minute drive to the National Memorial Arboretum (easy MoHo parking at that location) and a 12 minute drive into Lichfield City car parks (we used Greenhough Road car park, no height barrier and cost 50p for 2 hours/£1 for 4 hours. MoHo's based on medium size vans are permitted by Lichfield Council to use the car parks for day parking (no overnighting allowed) and pay for 2 parking bays if required).
We liked the non-fuss nature of this marina site. We didn't actually see anybody (we didn't feel the need), we arrived just after 5pm but made a phone call (in office hours) and got the info we needed. We easily located every thing we needed on site, toilets/showers, bins and recycling. We exchanged pleasant hellos and nods to the people we saw around us and had a happy stay, job done !
I'd have no hesitation about returning.
