Just the weather!

The site itself is great, has everything you need. Spotless facilities dotted around the site. The tent pitches are a great size and tiered so everyone has a great view. The staff are welcoming and friendly. Very helpful and happy to answer any questions. Little onside shop for essentials and you can get coffee and croissants in the morning. Located within a short drive of various towns and villages like Skipton and Pateley Bridge, which has a lovely Italian restaurant.

We packed up a day early, partly because of the weather which our tent wasn't right for and also the neighbours we had. They could not control their children who were kicking a ball around our pitches with no regard for other peoples' space or property. I'm all for kiddies having fun and playing on a campsite, better than sitting brainless in front of a screen but teach kids respect for other people. Not all of us want kids running around our tents and kicking balls into the side of our tent. We asked the kids nicely a few times to play around their own area but in the end we had to tell them firmly to get lost. And then the adults proceeded to gab until 3am!!! There is a 24hour number to call if there are issues with noise but our phones couldn't get a signal even on WiFi. My husband had to shout across in the end for them to shut up. Thankfully they did but they kept a low profile while we packed up with no sign of an apology. We explained to staff our reasons for leaving and they were very nice but weren't too happy with the other campers' behaviour. They said they were going to have a chat with them. I hope they did because having chatted to a lovely lady on that morning in the shower block who was opposite said she was woken up by their noise too. So I hope they kept quiet and were more considerate of other people after that.

Big tents. We were on the staggered section which made it feel more private. Staff were really helpful. Showers and toilets were kept clean. We had no issues with noise at night from other campers.

Site was in a lovely area with links to local towns and tourist spots, as well as being a very short walk to the pub!
Facilities were modern and clean and the staff were great and helpful, ensuring we had a swap of pitch when we asked on arrival.

Nothing really but watch those country lanes narrow or what.
So as they warn no caravans !!!

Beautiful views, size of the pitches and how they are set out. Clean facilities and helpful staff. The Craven Arms Pub serves excellent food, and the staff made us very welcome, not too far from the site
