Washing up area very open, cold water only but can get water from toilet sink or take your boiled kettle over to the wash area.

Hobground is a ‘no frills’ campsite comprising of three paddocks, surrounded mainly by trees so you are protected well from the elements but also a great sun trap. Nice views. Grounds are nice and flat.

Option for EHU.

Far enough from the road to create a very peaceful atmosphere but a great location to explore surrounding areas such as Scarborough, Whitby etc and market towns such as Pickering and Malton.

Two clean, well maintained porta - cabins provide showers, loo’s and sinks. And there’s an outdoor area for washing up.

Fire pit and logs can be hired for a small fee

Owner is friendly and accommodating.

This site does NOT have a reception area. You enter the site via a well established dirt track and just before the first paddock there is sign asking you to wait and call owner who will then come out and meet you and direct you to your allocated pitch.

It’s important you wait and not drive beyond this point as track is not wide enough for two - way traffic.

Nice small separate fields just nice to fit a couple of caravans and couple of tents . Level large pitch space.

Great campsite- private, friendly, close to lots of great attractions, dog friendly, family friendly and overall just felt really homely and welcoming. We had two cars which they were great about, and had no issues with, unlike some other sites. We had a great stay and wish we’d booked for longer.

Not much really. Facilities were basic but good and knew what to expect when we arrived.

Pitch spaces are large and can pick tour own , shower is very large and hot when hot water available ( this is due to a boiler been heated by electricity ) can be shelted if your pitched in the right spot . Owner very helpful. You can have a fire pit for £5 and logs are £9

Toilets were reasonable clean could be better . No hand drying facilities.
There was a group of young adults that were noisy on a night , the site is advertised as a quite site . Might

We were very greatful for the choice and space of our pitch. Water sources were close by and we were quite sheltered from any wind. It was lovely to watch the sun go down each night! The site is clean, spacious and quiet, away from any traffic.
We were so close to Flamingo Land and not far from Pickering or Dalby Forest.
Andy was a very friendly host and always had time for us. The facilities were clean and we never had to wait to use them.
We will definitely be back!
