Lovely place. I can imagine it’s beautiful in the summer unfortunately I picked the wrong weekend to go camping as the rain ruined it for us but love the secure dog area for your fury friends to get a proper run around, lots of space to choose from for camping also.

The toilet block was so far away from the camp area.

Nice campsite the owner was very welcoming, facilities are nice and clean, will definitely be back

Tidiness of the site was very good.
Booking and check-in onsite was easy, the greeting was very good, with all aspects/facilities explained clearly.

The peaceful location, the beautiful river walk, the friendly atmosphere from people on the site as well as the wardens, great for a stop over on a longer journey.

It’s a small point, however an important one in that first impressions are not the best, particularly if on the hard standing pitches.
The bins could probably do to be a bit more discreet, and the 2 older statics look a bit out of place, but once you get into the site it’s really well kept and lovely to wander round.

Clean and tidy site. No litter. Very well maintained. Delightful location, decent size pitches. Camping facilities adequate. Good value pricing.

Arrival times. We were unavoidably delayed. Rang site as soon as we could as a courtesy to inform them. The person we spoke to said they allow leeway, but no arrivals after 1 hour after the set time. After that, they refuse entry as it causes much disturbance for other residents. We made it in time to avoid that. Registering & paying all fine. Though we went to great lengths to avoid disturbing other residents on site, during our stay the peace and quiet we respected was not respected by others; on the first night, noise continued until nearly 11pm. Fortunately the noise was less then on, so presumably those responsible left next morning.

The site owners may wish to state clearly in the booking process that their policy is to refuse admittance if residents are unable to arrive within their preferred arrival window. Its their site, their rules, all concerned would know where they stood.

For each men and women was one shower and two toilets which was too far away from the campers and was in the middle of the static caravans and you needed transport to get to any shops

The site was spaceus, very friendly people great relaxed vibes. Loved the little stream running through. Great for dogs. Good for groups of people as plenty of space and can entertain each other. Loved the goal post for the kids. Nice views.

I don't want to seem to harsh on the site but for me the following things impacted our holiday which made us come home early.
The toilets are too far away from the tent pitch up. (Maybe portaloos nearer) There is only one shower for women and one for men. Very small, if you have a small child who needs support to shower it is very difficult. Only cleaned in the afternoon, so if you wanted a shower in the morning it will be in the day befores dirt. Only one sink in the toilets. So if someone is having a wash/brushing teeth. You'll need to wait to wash hands. The shower runs cold if the toilet is flushed (I had to ask people not to flush the toilet and I had the flush it after) only one sink for washing pots and ran cold every time we washed out pots. The electric hook up is connected to the water tap (very highly dangerous) the stream is lovely but only one access point which limits to how many people can get down there as it's only a small part that can be stood on unless you want to walk in the stream to access other parts (this is ok when it's warm nice little paddle) the bar is only open on Fridays and Saturdays which is a shame as it's a great little bar. The park I would say is for 5 years plus as there's no smaller child aperators. And it's very basic. We know of 3 families that left early.

It was a lovely site, plenty of space on pitches which were well kept.
Plenty of taps to access water and bins close to the pitches.
The kids enjoyed the playground.
The proximity of the river was lovely.
