The campsite was great, had a walk down to lathkill Dale, some swings from the trees that little one loved, close to chatsworth and local shops.
Was worried about the showers being cold from other reviews but they were warm, not boiling but it's to be expected when camping. Was a great site and accommodating of us extending our stay by a day.

Great views, beautiful location. Ed was very friendly on arrival.

Expensive, given the poor facilities.
Showers grubby and low water pressure. A new block is being built, which will improve facilities. But, will still not provide enough toilets for the number of campers. It was quiet when we were there, the facilities would have been seriously inadequate if it was busy.

Super friendly people. Amazing views. Incredible location.

We arrived in a ‘convoy’ of 3 TentBox’s not only was the site big enough for us all to be together, the views were stunning from the get go. A party with us forgot their camping chairs and one of the owners went out of his way to lend us his personal ones. Incredible service.

They have on site food suck as pizza, and are planning on adding breakfast and a bar area.

This is one of those ‘gem’ campsites. And I will be returning regularly from now on.

Lovely peaceful place, really friendly staff who are more than happy to help. You can rent a fireplace and have a campfire which is cool. Facilities are also great, clean and lit/heated.

On arrival the reception was locked up so we had to ring a mobile number from a sign on the reception door.
We were directed onto the electric hook up pitches but as we were non electric we had to move pitch. In the morning we were woken up by a huge truck delivering gravel right outside our campervan nearly blocking us in so when we got back from our day out we had to move pitch yet again.
The workmen were working on the new toilet blocks until 7pm, so if you were staying on site all day you would not get any peace from noise from a tractor & trailer, a telehandler and a cement mixer for 12 hours.
The toilets & showers were never cleaned the whole of our three night stay (I know this as there was a manky hair bobble on the shower floor the whole stay) the showers looked like someone had washed their muddy moulting dog in them. If you wanted to clean the toilets yourself before use you would find the handles of the toilet brushes had snapped off making them useless.
There were even cats in the ladies toilets trying to get under the toilet doors when you used them.
Towards the end of our stay the toilet rolls had ran out so we had to take our own, if you wanted to put up your own toilet tent you would be charged £4 extra a night.
We didn’t know there was a pot washing facility on site until the 2nd night as there is no sign on the door.
We were very alarmed to hear two cars speeding onto site, parking up and a crowd of unsavoury youths got out shouting in a language I couldn’t recognise. The owner did eventually direct them off site but it is a bit concerning that anybody could just wander on site unchecked, especially if you have small children with you.
We paid £30 a night non electric hard standing pitch for this 3 night holiday and we never even got to speak to the owners, this is extremely poor customer service. The reception was never open on our whole stay. Yes there are new toilets currently being built but there is no excuse not to keep the old ones in a clean, useable condition.
I cant recommend this site i`m afraid and feel very disappointed and ripped off if i`m honest so we won`t be returning.
