Good location and large site so have lots of space and great for heading into Bakewell and wider peaks.

The team were polite, chatty and helpful.

The facilities were vastly inadequate for the number of people and water pressure was awful. Appreciate we stayed on one of busiest weekends of the year (Aug bank hol) but in the morning the toilets wouldn't flush, no running water to wash hands, shower was only a drip and four washing up sinks for whole campsite meant always had to queue. Water pressure problem did get fixed by end of weekend, but still not enough facilities for number of people on site.

Allows large groups and noise limit was not enforced so perhaps not one for families with young children.

The spectacular view

The site excepts all breeds of dog including banned breeds. I met a man on the site who said his dog was an XL bully. The dog was on a lead with no muzzle. I asked a member of staff re banned dogs being allowed. The response was yes all breeds accepted as they couldn’t check each car as it arrived. I explained about my encounter and the staff member said I was entitled to ask him to muzzle the dog. I had already spoken to him about it and his reply was the dog needed his morning toilet and he had a muzzle at the tent. The staff member said they had had another XL bully the week before. I found this extremely worrying as we had small children and three dogs with us. We also had three nights of very loud music singing and shouting until gone two am. No one policed the 11 pm quiet rule. The toilets and sinks ran out of water , so did not flush or unable to wash hands. The sinks were unavailable to wash hands on many occasions due to people having a wash cleaning teeth and doing make up. There are no sinks or mirrors in the showers.There are not enough facilities for the amount of people on the site. The noise and the toilet problems were mainly at the weekends.

Love the new shower block this year and friendly staff onsite. Good small onsite shop well stocked and local food vendors onsite during weekends. Its location right on the lathkill trail and near to the monsall trail make it perfect for people who want to explore the countryside.

Fantastic site, lovely and helpful staff, great amenities, especially with the food trucks over the weekend taking the ease of dinner away.

Only slight dislike was in the mornings when the toilets were being used they stopped flushing both mornings. I assume this was due to heavy usage on a busy bank holiday weekend. They seemed to work just fine again either really early morning or into the afternoon. But between 8am-10am when footfall was high with people getting ready for the day is when the issue occurred.

Great location and really well kept, the campsite was spacious even with the amount of people there. The staff were incredibly friendly and could not do enough for you, check in was easy and smooth with no issues to note. Providing the fire pits were also a nice touch and meant the grounds were kept in perfect condition. Up the road from some great pubs and Bakewell which was gorgeous. Overall a great camping spot and would 100% return here!

The showers did suffer from pressure problems, but nothing that a second break tank and a VSD pump couldn’t fix! Could do with a few more sinks for washing up pots and pans in.

The toilet and shower blocks are spacious, clean and absolutely top notch.
Fantastic views and plenty of choice of pitches. You will almost certainly need wheel wedges to level your caravan though.
Loved being able to use a firepit and the £10 rental was WELL worth the money.
This site is central to lots of different sites that we wanted to visit. An excellent basecamp.
No wifi, but we got excellent phone reception so this wasn't a problem.
I really can't think of anything negative to say. Everyone we spoke to was happy and helpfully.

I recently stayed at Haddon Grove Campsite and had such a wonderful experience. The site is beautifully maintained, with plenty of space and stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The facilities were spotless and well cared for – the showers, toilets, and washing-up areas were always clean and convenient.

What really stood out was the warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly, helpful, and clearly take great pride in keeping the site running smoothly. It felt peaceful and family-friendly, with a lovely balance of privacy and community.

The location is fantastic too – perfectly situated for exploring the Peak District, with great walks right on the doorstep and charming villages nearby. Whether you’re after a quiet getaway or a base for adventures, Haddon Grove is an excellent choice.

I’d highly recommend this campsite and will definitely be coming back!

Our first time ever spending the night in our campervan and we stayed here. Great experience from the friendly owners on arrival, great cakes in the shop and great facilities. I would definitely recommend.
