We arrive to be greeted by lovely owners who told us where the facility’s were such as the toilets , water point and that there was only one hot shower working!

Which was a long walk from the first field never mind the back fields but we have legs… We was then placed on a hard standing pitch which I’m sure was due to the wet ground even though there was camper vans on the grass. So we start to put the tent up on the hard standing pitch with electric. We have a large outdoor revolution tent 6se so not a 9se which only just fitted and no where to park the car. We realised that the pegs would not go into the ground as we struggle and came home with 19 bent pegs ! The electric which we had one heater on kept tripping the breaker probably a positive we had an electrician with us who stated that the electric board was damaged and therefore making an arcing/crackling noise so we decided to try the one next to us which we was having the same issue. Seeing how old the electric point was and not wanting to touch it after 15 times of us running in and out to switch the electric on and off to keep the one heater on we decided it was best for us to pack up and come home as the rain and weather was not helping the situation. An hour and a half there and back was not what i needed after only arriving at 17:45 no money has been refunded. Not the best of sites and not well managed as the toilets are ok however have seen nicer and would have been better if water point was closer as well as toilets as they are in a barn across the farm. Would be nicer in summer but we won’t be back as much better campsites for the money and would be nice for a refund due to the electric issue, damaging pegs and us having a terrible few hours we are not quitters and has really put a Negative on the first camping trip of the season.

Easy to find, close to bakewell and good clean facilities. Quite popular site for the end of November with a dozen or so people braving the weather for the unspoiled views.

Location was great and only 10 minutes from Bakewell. It is a working farm. Very helpful and friendly staff. Would be good to see the site in the summer months. Only stayed one night so not able to experience any activities

The campsite is fields and there is little hard standing so due to the rain got stuck on arrival. The staff were very helpful and pulled us out and put us in a less boggy part of the field. Needed wellies ! The toilets and shower block could have been a bit cleaner. More hard standing areas needed if opening all year round.

The campsite was lovely. Great views, quiet and plenty of space. Could walk to the dale by foot.

The showers were cold but we were the only ones there and was fine as we weren’t there long

Beautiful family run farm with good facilities. The family went above and beyond to make our stay a lovely experience and even allowed us to young calfs. The kids said it was one of there best trips this year so thank you. We went to bakewell and Matlock for the days and stopped both nights on sight. So a great hub to see plenty of walks small villages and beautiful sights.

Amy was very friendly and helpful when I spoke to her on the phone when we arrived. We had a choice of three fields to pitch our tent on, the surrounding views were lovely. Also it's great that firepits are allowed.

Only that the toilets and showers weren't too clean, the showers didn't drain very well but it didn't spoil our camping trip on this campsite.
