How much space/ chilled the whole site was

Very welcoming and friendly family that run this farm and campsite.
First time visitors and first time campers. This was a trial run with our two dogs so we decided to stay fairly close to home.

We arrived around 12.30 on Saturday and had the choice of two huge fields to pitch our tent, we just picked somewhere and set up and wow, what an even we had with the sunset. The other huge field was for caravans.

We explored the surrounding areas and tired the dogs out so we could have a peaceful evening, it worked a treat! We stopped by the campsite office/shop and purchased some of the Peak District ice cream. You must try!! Can also hire camp fires and wood here!

Cannot comment on the showers as we didn’t use them but the toilet block closest to the tent fields is brand new and immaculately clean and always had hand soap and loo roll!

All other campers were respectful and not noisy.

We will definitely return for longer than one night! Highly recommend.

Jaw-droppingly beautiful views, spotlessly clean facilities, plenty of space in the fields, clear evidence of involvement from those who run the site but complete freedom to pitch as you wish - a lovely balance. Clear rules about quiet time yet it felt very light-touch. A really nice feel.
We chose the field with the most stunning view, which meant that it was over 1/4 mile to walk to the shower block that had three (hot and very clean) showers. Works fine for fit and healthy adults but worth bearing in mind if this isn't you. Nothing to dislike - just a factor to consider.

Flexible pitches, location, the views, size of campsite, owners that we dealt with were so lovely, shop on site. Constant cleaning of facilities, can’t fault. Would definitely go again

We went on a busy bank holiday and the second toilet block struggled to handle it with constant blocking up. Looks to be a very new block so I think they’re now aware of what else it needs on really busy weekends. We stayed past the weekend and once a lot of people went, it worked perfectly.

Gorgeous views and super peaceful campsite. Plenty of space and everyone is super friendly. Easily accessible to lots of walks on site and not far from camp. All toilets and showers were immaculately clean.

Shower block bit far away

Great location, great mostly level spacious site, great host, Ed could not be more helpful. Fab easy going feel.

Showers could do with a refurb as the water supply was intermittent and not always hot.

Setting, views

Inadequate facilities, especially for number of campers. Only a trickle of cold water (no hot water) in toilets and washroom near the camping fields, long walk to showers and washing up facilities at entrance to farm, which were satisfactory rather than good.
