The location was beautiful.. open field surrounded by hills and trees and not far from other places to visit. Starbucks literally a few minutes up road or Coop and Costa machine in town 6 mins drive.
Showers hot and good pressure. Toilets clean (excuse the spiders though).

Not enough facilities for the size of camp. Showers were nice in hot when you finally got to use one (only about 7 of them for the whole site). Though the water got everywhere.
Toilets, only 3 ladies and one tiny sink for everyone so often cues, or no where to do teeth or wash face. There was a section of floor coming away so by one toilet door you nearly twisted your ankle getting in
Being a field, when it rained the cars caused lots of mud - could do with a gravel road putting down round the site.

Large space to find your own pitch, electric pitches in the middle strip of the field, none electric outside.
Porta loos dotted around closer to camping spots than actually facilities. These where cleaned daily!
Site very clean overall.

Only 7 showers that had no lighting meaning you had to wash by torch light of an evening. Only water tap based a entrance to field
Unlevel field for both pitching up and walking to and from facilities. All facilities very basic! one washing up station also at entrance to field

Spacious pitch with proper flushing toilets in a lovely surrounding. We went with two other couples and were able to pitch together with a gazebo in a village setting. Great to be able to have a fire at night with which wood can be bought and a pit can be borrowed from the office at as the weather was a bit damp and cold. Electric hook up a bonus too.
Friendly staff. Easy base to explore other towns around or just chill out. Plenty of space for kids to play etc.

First night electric kept going off but as soon as we reported it the next day staff sorted it very quickly.

Very spread out, plenty if room, no noise complaints

Location of the site

We stayed and paid for a 3 night electric pitch or that is what we thought, we arrived to realise they were no pitches just a free for all to pitch where you like down the middle of the site, we ended up next to the generator (which kept us awake the first night) but to make things worst the eclectic didn’t work as it kept tripping out! Also other people’s tents and vans were less than half a meter away!
We ended up moving to the non electric side of the site for more room and a peaceful sleep, we also ended up investing in a camping loo as the main facilities are quite a walk with single loo’s around the site unusable, also the ladies toilets has a massive hole in the floor of the left side so be careful

View was lovely, location was good, nice being able to have camp fires

Noise late into the night, no hot water for dishes, basic facilities, no hand sanitizer in portaloo’s

Great campsite with beautiful surroundings came to climb snowdon was an easy 45 min journey town is close by with some nice restaurants and pubs not far from. The beach amenities were clean.

Could use a few more toilets as there was always a que

Very large site. Could choose to pitch where I wanted. There’s a river next to the site and it was so nice to hear that next to where I pitched.

The staff were great. As a first time solo traveller it was comforting to ask for advice. The fire pit kit was a great option. Loved it.

Showers were really good. Nice and hot and powerful!!!

The site was in a lovely spot. It was obviously busy as it was august BH - the owners did their best to stay on top of the facilities and keep it all running, changing the portaloos etc. Although there were a fair amount of people there was a lot of space, were well spread out and we didn't feel on top of other campers.
The showers were hot and clean. It was surprisingly quiet late evening/over night, even although there were some multi family groups and other groups. The chalets looked nice and are in a good position, and look like a good option if you don't fancy camping.

This site could be easily and vastly improved by having a proper toilet/shower block. It has a trailer with showers (which have to be filled manually as opposed to having water piped in) have no lights (fine with a head torch) and a small portable toilet block (3 toilets for the ladies, 2 urinals and one toilet for the men) which was somewhat limited for the number of people on the site (one sink in each half of the toilets). there were other portaloos dotted around the site however. The washing up area consisted of one sink with cold water which just drained into the ground
August BH is always the busiest weekend for camping and the majority of campsites are totally full or over subscribed so one has to expect greater demand on facilities. The owners worked hard to keep it all going but their lives would also be made easier with a proper block and it would provide a better experience for those staying. Overall it was ok, I have had far worse camping experiences, it was quiet and we had a good amount of space and I was grateful to be able to book as I'd left it quite late.
