Nice campsite, good size pitches, nice and level. Toilet blocks were very clean. I preferred the block near the reception for showering, being a brick building it was a little warmer as mornings and evenings were cooler. Showers were nice and hot. Overall a nice stay, shame the weather was not a little bit warmer and sunnier. Very well maintained site. Nice, quiet site.

No cover in the washing up area in the tenting field. A pain when it's raining and only 1 sink. Unless you walked to the bottom area near the reception which was undercover. If it's raining hard like it did 1 day of our break then it's a bit unpleasant washing up in the rain.
Shame a drain was not installed at the water pipe in the tenting field (middle) it was a boggy muddy mess you had to step around to fill up with water. Neither were deal breakers not to return in the future.

As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by our host who was so lovely and friendly. She told let me know the ground rules straight away and gave a handy little sheet. She then proceeded to get her bicycle and show us to our pitch which was a really lovely, personal touch.
The pitches were clearly marked out which was amazing and were a fantastic size and within a great distance of the electrical hookup.

There were two sets of facilities, one conveniently located for the camping field and one nearer reception mainly for the tourers; however, both were available for anyone. Our host even showed us the family room because she had seen on the booking we had a 3 year old with us.

The camp was well looked after and everyone was friendly. It is clearly a well looked after and a well loved park. Speaking to fellow campers, many were return customers, and I am sure that will be us in the not too distant future.

Location

The location was great for us. Close to York and close to other beautiful villages. It was nice and quiet and felt like the middle of nowhere at night.

Facilities
Always kept clean. Well respected by other guests. 2 showers and 2 toilets per gender in the camping field and the same in next to reception.
The shop had some essentials and treats.
Freezer for the ice packs was great (they even Named them for us as we forgot them).

Pitches
A great size with space in the center for children to play.

Overall, what a fantastic stay and we wished we had booked longer!

The only thing I would change to improve the park would be the shower cubicles. I'd have a basin and shower curtain in so there was space to hang clothes and keep them dry when showering. It would also provide somewhere to dry and get dressed after the shower.

Nothing within walking distance, busy road - the main access road to York or the coast was often at a standstill.
Wouldn’t stay here again because of this.

We have just enjoyed a great 6 night stay at Foxhill Park, this is one of the, if not the best park we have ever stayed in. Quiet, great sized pitches for our campervan and glawning and so clean. I have never visited a campsite that cleaning their facilities so regularly. As a camper this is highly appreciated in damp conditions like we had, no yucky grass in the showers.
Loved that there was oodles of hot water and paper towels to dry your hands.
Well done Foxhill - keep doing what you’re doing as you do it well!
PS - if you’re bringing a dog, there is an on-site dog field, but also a reasonable dog fielded to hire down the road for some time off the lead. (Paw Park Sand Hutton) 🐶

We were shown to a good size pitch by a friendly lady who gave me a bit of advice about reversing. No problems with the electric hook up and the drinking water and toilet/waste water point was not too far away. Toilet block was very clean with lovely warm water. Apparently there is a club not to far away where you can go and have a drink. We were quoted £25 for a taxi back from Stamford Bridge.

We've just come back from a great stay here. We stayed for 2 nights, 6 adults and 4 children, 3 pitches. The site it's brilliant essentially for families. Facilities are really close to the tent pitches, where are brilliant, very clean, and lovely and hot showers. They have a little on site shop near the entrance (it's cash only) they sell bags of ice for 0.20p which is handy if you need to keep your good cold. It's a really safe site for children and they play on the field between the tents, as we've come through the school holidays there were lots of children our children could play with. The pitch sizes are nice and large and well maintained. Only a 20 minute drive to York Maze!

Pitches are extremely close together.

It was me my husband and 8 year old we couldn't fault it, the staff really friendly and helpful, it was clean, a real lovely place, we will be coming back .
