Facilities - toilets/showers always clean and easy accessible. Never busy when we went for a shower so always available.
Very convenient area for Buxton, Bakewell, Matlock, Ashbourne. Even more ideal for walkers, so many walks nearby.
Field area to play on if you have children.
Pitch size perfect, beautiful views and could watch the sunset daily this time of the year.
Perfect length walk to local pub (Church Inn) with lovely food.
Lovely cafe come bookstore again in perfect walking/cycling distance away.
Also 2 ice cream places nearby for more incentive to book haha.
I see others commenting on the road noise and we were pitched adjacent to it, you could notice it but didn’t bother us at all, only as loud as the birds. Haha.

Maybe a unisex bathroom for parents supporting their children of different gender to shower etc, we used the disabled but felt guilty if someone would be to be waiting outside.
Missing maybe just a small park on site for any children and maybe a pizza van or something similar on a weekend, but it’s nothing that didn’t spoil our holiday.

Great facilities with superb showers, sinks and toilets with modern lighting. Super kitchen area and lounge with TV.

Read on previous reviews on issues with road noise but I didn’t find this on my stay.

There was some light traffic early evening but nothing to spoil a good night’s sleep for me.

Wi-fi signal was weak (only one bar) but 4G was working so not an issue really. Was probably where I was parked and perhaps my phone.

It’s not the biggest site but that’s part of its charm and there are holiday cottages to rent in the grounds.

The grounds are very nice and it’s a lovely location with great views and just a ten minute drive into Buxton.

It’s obvious the owners take real pride in this site which is reflected in its upkeep and the cleanliness of its facilities.

I’ll certainly be staying again at some point in the future.

Nothing to dislike, loved the place.

The views were stunning. The shower/toilet block was clean and warm and easily accessible. Took a two hour walk right from the farm and it was amazing (one small part was very steep but we managed ok) Went for dinner at the Church pub in Chelmorton (20 minute walk away) it was tasty pub grub. Took a 15 minute drive to a lovely village called Hartington, another gorgeous walk then lunch in the Devonshire Arms, again pub grub but hit the spot!

Nothing to dislike, except we were in pitch 17 and couldn’t find it at first and got no answer from the contact number but we figured it out ok in the end.

Very well presented and maintained pitches and site. The toilets and showers were always clean and warm. Having access to the kitchen was really useful, the clothes dryer was especially useful for drying our towels. Overall a well thought out site.
The pitches are a decent size and clearly defined. There is a small dog walking area which would suit smaller, less energetic dogs. There are lots of lovely walks nearby for dogs (and people) with more energy.

As others have mentioned there is some noise from the road. It might help if there was a ‘buffer’ along the roadside perimeter, maybe a decent hedge/trees. However, even as a light sleeper I wasn’t disturbed during the night as the road wasn’t busy.
To access the walks you have to walk a short distance along the side of the busy main road, I wonder if the site could have access to the public footpaths for those heading towards The Church Inn? I appreciate there is nothing they can do if heading in the opposite direction and the distance along the main road isn’t far to access some really good walks.

WiFi was weak so we couldn’t use.
Pitches were functional, little bit like a car park.
Bright security flood light remained in most of the night.

Well kept spacious landscaped pitches, wonderful shower and kitchen facilities. Everything beautifully maintained.
