amazing site, the owners are some of the loveliest people you will meet and can’t do enough for you! The site it gorgeous really quiet but you hear all the wildlife and farm animals. The amenities are perfect and we loved stans honestly shack, incase you miss something of your packing list they have thought of everything!
Pitches are a really good size and nicely spaced between each one

We stayed here with our two small children, aged 5 and 3. We decided to stay in the pod as it was our first time camping with the children and didn’t know how they would be at night time. But to our delight they LOVED it. The pod was a lovely cosy pod with electric and a tv (not that we used it) the campsite is situated in the most beautiful area off a lane with amazing views. The campsite is clean and tidy, toilets and showers are spotless, and are checked regular. There is a fantastic stocked “stans honestly shed” which the children loved from marshmallows to ice pops, cool drinks and fire wood, all so reasonably priced. They sell animal feed so that you can enjoy a walk around the farm to see all the animals. And in the middle of the camp there is an area with children’s toys and slides and playhouses. Our children aswell as others all enjoyed being able to play with freedom !! Whilst maintaining a safe environment, where you can sit back and relax and see your children in clear sight. The campsite is a family run business we met farmer John who couldn’t do enough for us, even going getting us a football for our son when we mentioned we had forgot his, we met luna the dog and became the best of friends after sharing our breakfast. Overall we had the best stay and have already planned to come back.

EVERYTHING! It was very much designed with the safety of young children in mind! The children’s play area was located in the centre of the site which allowed all parents to see their children playing from the comfort of their own pitch.
The pitches were large and well spaced out which made our stay peaceful and private.
The nature walk was super cute 🥰 my girls loved exploring.
We can not wait to stay here again!

The size of the shower room. My girls are only 2 and 4 and I was travelling alone with them. I couldn’t get us all into the shower room together to ensure they were safe. Pretty minor as we only stayed for 2 nights so a shower wasn’t essential 😂

I always struggle to rate campsites because everyone has a different idea of a perfect site and a different style of camping, and we like lots of different sites for different reasons.

This had everything we needed for a relaxing night not too far from home.

Lovely peaceful location, quiet site even though it was almost full, pitches well spaced so it never felt noisy, crowded or busy, little woodland walk, and the kids liked the ice lollies from the honesty shed.

Lovely campsite. Clean toilets and shower with hot water and think the honesty shack for snacks/ hot drinks is a nice touch.

Our likes:
- John and Joe were really friendly and helpful. Really lovely people
- how every pitch is kept separated with long grass. It gives a more natural feel and keeps your pitch more private too.
- John told us wildflower seeds had been spread in the long grass which is lovely. We saw lots of butterflies and birds.
- the shower and toilets were kept really clean and were well looked after. This extends outwards - everywhere was clean!
- the honesty shacks! We didn't use them as we only came for one night, but if we were staying longer we'd have undoubtedly used them. I stuck my head into them just to be nosy and they were adorable and really well thought out. You could buy lots of basics as well as some treats, there was even a coffee machine and a freezer with ice lollies.
- everything is clearly labelled when using the facilities (e.g. drinking water! I've been to sites where it hasn't said and I've questioned which taps I should be using, not here!)
- microwave, charging point and fridge available (we didn't use but nice touch! If we stayed longer the fridge would have been really valuable)
- somewhere to wash up.
- lovely peaceful area. The facilities were a bit hidden so you didn't have the loos etc getting in the way of the view.

It's clear that Kelly, John and Joe have really thought everything through on the site. It's truly a lovely place and we will be returning.

This isn't a dislike about the campsite because we genuinely have no complaints, but feel as though it's worth flagging as someone behind us obviously did the same thing (we saw them drive onto the campsite about ten minutes after us!) Put in the right postcode and Google still wanted to send us down a no access private road! This isn't the fault of Moss Rose obviously but in case it helps anyone, the way we got around it ended up being just typing 'Pilling' into Google Maps, going to Pilling and then typing in the postcode again. Depending where you're coming from, this may not be an issue but if you find yourself in the same situation, do the above!

Couldn't have been happier with our experience. Booked the peacock pod for one night with our young children and were blown away - the pod was cosy, clean, and comfortable, the facilities were immaculate and they'd even put some toys out for our kids which they loved!

There was firewood waiting for us on arrival and we brought some marshmallows from the honesty shack which was stocked with a range of items from sweets to pot noodles.

We loved our stay here and would highly recommend this site to anyone looking for a peaceful, clean, stress free camping experience with exceptional hosts wgo go above and beyond!
