Very friendly and accommodating staff - can’t thank them enough for their hospitality! The shop as well as the pub is a fantastic touch for any last minute/forgotten items. Pub food was excellent and reasonably priced. Really enjoyed our 1 night stay! Would stop again.

If you’re a light sleeper like myself, bring some ear plugs - the main road can be quite busy/noisy (this isn’t a dislike to the site itself, of course!)

First time campers so was nice to be on a small campsite. Facilities were all there as advertised. Had a warm welcome from all the staff/owners.Had an amazing evening meal.Loved the honesty shop had everything that was needed

Nothing to dislike

The small site was lovely, level with a choice of grass & hard standing in a picturesque location. The shop was tiny but well stocked with the basics and the pub & shop staff were all very friendly, welcoming and helpful to us and our dog. The food choice & quality were excellent in the evening and we’d highly recommend staying for breakfast as well. Shower & toilets available on site although we didn’t use the shower.

Near to a road - please be aware it’s a thoroughfare so there is road noise throughout the night.
We understand costing models, but to pay £19 for no facilities other than the pub when many other pubs offer the same for free is a bit galling.

Great location, only a short drive to Castleton, Edale and Buxton and lots of great walks. Pub is friendly with good food and beer. What's not to like!

Lovely little site with 4 pitches. With an 8ft wide caravan the access is good and room to turn it around. The grass is nice and short, the site is clean and tidy. Wifi is available on site and in the pub. I slept like a log all weekend. There is a small shop of site selling the basics, eggs, bread and cakes, ice cream,. The food in the pub was delicious and plentiful, we ate Friday, Saturday and squeezed in a Sunday roast before we left with some cake to take home. The Pennine Bridleway is in close proximity. A 15 min drive over the beautiful Winnats pass to the caves and Castleton. Would highly recommend

Great shop on site. Freezer and lovely bread & cobs.
Nice pie & chips, tasted homemade. Too many cakes to choose from. Raspberry & white chocolate flapjack lasted me 2 days!
Friendly staff. 2 loos, hot water & shower In static caravan on site. Gates shut when pub shut. Nice mowed grass area at side of car park. Lots of seating outside pub.
