Loved how no request was a problem and they were extremely accommodating when wishing to take a pod instead of a tent pitch. The hot tub was exceptional, would highly recommend.

Our second visit here in van and awning, with our two dogs.
Site is spotless, the communal cabin is great and very welcoming.
We arrived Friday afternoon, set up camp, then had a lovely moonlit walk around the mere, then back to van for tea followed by a couple of bottles of red in the cabin.
Saturday we set off to Ellesmere, taking the canal path, had a few beers in the pub, (white Hart), no food available but we were able to take our fish and chips in and watch the rugby in a very friendly atmosphere.
The walk back in the dark was a challenge but fun and very peaceful.

Nothing to dislike, just perfect.

Great site. Few minute walk to the lake which is a mile and a half circular walk. Great walk along canal to Ellesmere.

The well kept site, Christmas trees surrounding the pitches, community feel, surrounding walks, friendly hosts, variety of accommodation, hire of hot tub.

Not a dislike but shower/toilet facilities could do with a referb.

A very peaceful site, catering well for my tent (grass pitch only) with a real range of different spots available, from sheltered spots to higher ground pitches which give you sunsets long into the evening.
I go there to cycle but there are plenty of walks to be had too. The on site 'lodge' is great if your a little damp, want to boil a kettle or just want to sit on furniture rather than the floor of your tent.
With such reasonable prices and a site that suits me well I know I'll be back.

Peaceful, secluded and fantastic walk around the mere. We only stayed for one night as a test run for our new van, and we’re so glad we came here! Definitely be returning.

It’s a quiet place which we needed at that time, some lovely walks nearby. A decent communal room.

It’s too expensive for what it is. We paid £24 for one night in our campervan without EHU. So we basically got the use of a field for that and in October that’s not value for money. No shop, no pubs nearby, nothing really.
