Friendly owners who were very helpful and informative. Spacious campsite, beautiful and clean, plus a friendly campsite dog visits regular which the children loved

Women’s showers need some sort of lock on because trying to shower an unhappy toddler means they can escape and the door didn’t shut too so was always a gap which had to be covered with a towel. Road next to campsite was very noisy but we parks towards the far end of the site so didn’t really bother us too much

The main road is a bit too close to pitches, but it is manageable as night time is quiet

Great facilities, grounds and a lovely environment. Fantastic showers and bar/lounge. Close to the village with a tesco close by to stock up.

Our pitch was a little close to the main road but wasn’t awful at night.

Large field, lots of space between pitches. Showers / toilets very clean and warm!

Tip: if your a light sleeper, pitch as far away from the road as you can. We didn’t find it load at all and we where pretty centre (on the left as you drive onto the main field)

Showers not as private as I would have liked BUT simple putting my towel over the door fixed that situation!

The Coed Derw site was a fantastic visit last weekend. My boyfriend and I stayed in a non-electric tent pitch for 2 nights and were welcomed by the owner on arrival. The pitches are very tidy and spacious and we didn't mind camping on a slope as it meant the rain didn't pool around our tent. The views from this site in the Dee valley are spectacular and it was lovely to wake up to rolling hills.

The facilities are extremely clean and warm (heated floors - wow!), the shower heat and pressure was good too.

The owners have a large dog, who is very friendly and sweet and will come to say hi every time you get back to the site after being out all day! She does wonder around though, so if you're anxious around dogs then be aware of that. We personally loved the company she provided and the cuddles!

The site overall is very peaceful. I never saw anyone else when using the shower block and we were sharing the site with about 4 other groups. A calm experience.

The dishwashing station is nice and spacious and there was spare liquid there to use, however it is not covered meaning we got a bit soggy doing the washing up on a rainy day!

Coed Derw is situated facing the scenery which was lovely. Because it’s also a weddings venue we booked the jacuzzi which wasn’t what you normally get when camping as all facilities were amazing ie; showers, toilets, dishwashing etc. Also it was only 8mins to Moel famau a site of natural beauty 👍

Beautiful setting overlooking the hills, perfect place to watch the sunrise in the morning and well located for any supplies that you need from town, plus local walks. The facilities here are five star, absolutely amazing. Loved my stay! :)
