Lovely facilities and views.

The site was lovely, showers and toilets were clean and good quality, and the jacuzzi was great. The couple who own the site were very friendly and extremely helpful and the customer service was outstanding. The local shops were a mile away and the club house was also great. Would definitely book again if I'm up that way again.

I read the reviews before booking and I was a little worried using the toilets in the country club incase it was really busy being a country club however the country club was more a club house, toilet/shower block for the site. Facilities were kept really clean at all times.

My older kids couldn't pick the wifi up from furthest point on site (where we pitched) I wasn't bothered as they joined in with games instead of being on the phone.

Easy to find on the main road into Ruthin.
The toilet and shower block was very clean, 2 separate toilets (ladies) and 3 showers with plenty of lockers.
I never used the jacuzzi but it looked brilliant, there is also a great gym upstairs.
The bar area was lovely, not much choice on draught beers though, only had a lager, cider and Guinness ( which was in a can but was gassed up at the pump), good selection of spirits though.
A large function room was set up for a wedding, really nice setting.
Took about 20 minutes to walk into Ruthin along the main road. Lovely site for a short stay grounds are fabulous and children had plenty of play space. It is a dog friendly site too but sadly not much in Ruthin so may not be back for a while.

The pitches are quite steep, all grass, the one we ended up on was close to the shower/toilet block, but we still needed to use levelling ramps and spent the weekend on an angle.
Getting dried and dressed after a shower was awkward as it's a communal area with other ladies and children - hard to be dignified! And in the shower cubicle there was no where to put my glasses and gel/wash cloth down. Showers operate on a sensor, so don't try getting dried in the cubicle,!
Bar prices were expensive,- £12.50 for pint madri and can of Guinness (gassed up at the pump).
Bar was open for a short time only which was a shame, not everyone wants to go off site - cheaper drinks would encourage campers to stay. Only food that was available was hot dogs £5 I think, such an amazing function room there must be on site kitchen? A better menu would again, encourage campers to stay.

Slope on pitches, early bar closing time, expensive prices, noisy road. Could not get wi-fi on our pitch.

A beautiful and well-maintained site with a friendly host. It would be great to have a thumbs-up rating for each pitch that includes a water tap.

The site is located next to a busy road, so it can be a bit noisy. The shower area is clean but small, making it difficult to dry off inside.

What an absolute gem. A beautiful site, immaculate facilities, wonderful hosts and epic scenery.

We will be back for sure. We had EHU and every pitch has its own water tap.

Robert and his family made us feel very much at home and like they couldn't do enough for us.

Not the flattest of fields, but you're in a Mountainous area so to be expected.

Owners Dog wandering around made a couple of smaller dogs on site a little anxious but the owners appeared to keep her away on the Saturday, so maybe just a quiet word is all that's needed.

Lovely views of the surrounding hills. Bar in site for drinks in the evenings. And friendly staff. V close to Ruthin

The road is very noisy and doesnt really stop. Could do with some more large sinks, only 1 big enough to was face in properly. Septic tank smell outside the main block as well. Tent pitches are sloping a bit. Washing up area not covered, thankfully it didn’t rain on us!

Just that the website stated no gazebos and no open fires. But unfortunately both were sighted.
Should be more clear on the website.
