Stayed for 2 nights at this campsite. It’s a great location if you want to go to Shrewsbury and has a big open field but that ends the positives for me. The bathroom facilities aren’t nice at all. Toilets with locks not working, broken wall toilet cubicles, broken toilet roll holders. There were also no facilities to dry your hands. The warm air hand driers didn’t work. I suspect they’d turned the electric off to stop people using them as the hot water tap (which was a separate tap above the sink) also didn’t work. It felt like they didn’t cared at all about their female visitors. photos are of the ladies toilet facilities.
I was glad I arrived late on a Friday and left early on a Sunday so I could get away with not using the shower facilities. The shower facilities weren’t as bad though. There were 4 showers in a portacabin.
I only mention this if you like to have a bar onsite (not a facility we need as we would walk to a local bar) as they say that there is a bar onsite. This is a very large shed with a bar. It is really drafty with about 14 old chairs and 2 tables in a massive space. It’s not a place you would want to spend time at during a holiday.
Basically the facilities (toilets and bar) are in large sheds that look like they were erected in the 70s/80s.
The facilities will be fine if you are in a caravan with your own toilet facilities and don’t have to use them. We won’t be returning.
