Thank you to owner Vicky whos communication was great and who made us feel very welcome even though technically still out of season. This is a lovely little site and would very much recommend the shepards hut which despite the cold weather was nice and toasty with the wood burner on and we were provided with plenty of logs to keep us warm. The site facilities were spotlessly clean, the showers were especially lovely after a full day hiking! The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen well stocked with everything we needed for our home from home.

Не понравилось: When I stayed it was 0 degrees outside and nobody else in the campsite, the pod turned out to have no electricity or heat and when I asked to pay for an upgrade to the only pod with heat in an empty campsite I was refused. Not good costumer relations if you ask me and will not stay there again.

This review has made me realise that no matter how hard we try we can't make everyone happy.
You booked a CAMPING pod on an Almost wild Campsite at the beginning of March and now your complaining you were cold. I agree it was below zero temperatures but unfortunately I can't do anything about the weather, and leaving a negative review because of this is unfair. I do apologise that you were alone on the camp but yet again that is out of my hands.
The Pod is what it says on the tin... a CAMPING Pod ( Camping is an outdoor activity that involves sleeping in a protective shelter ) The Pod is a cosy alternative to a tent with a double bed, table and chairs. I agree it might not be as warm as a Hotel room this time of year but its much much warmer than a tent.
No where in the description does it say there is heat or electricity.
You asked for an upgrade and yes I did refuse because the other pod is identical to the one you stayed in, you wouldn't of been any better off.
Our Shepherds hut was having a refurb and was not available.
The best part of your review is you said your not coming back, that will leave room for the lovely Campers that we do get throughout the year who appreciate the great outdoors and understand what a good Camping experience is all about.
