From the second we got there we loved the site, fab facilities set in a stunning part of Lancashire, this has now shot to the top of our favourite places to stay and only 20 mins from home yet might as well have been a 4 hour drive :) highly recommended

Stayed here with our single axel and our dog! Great site, loads of information about what’s close by and what to do. Really good WiFi for watching telly when you get in bed.

Asked to stay a few hours after check in and they happily aloud it which helped to explore on the Sunday a bit more.

Would highly recommend.

Beautiful setting, very picturesque site and not busy which is incredible to get during the summer holidays. Lovely hosts very friendly. Lovely clean pod with great facilities. Beautiful rural location with plenty to do with dogs and children. Warm and cosy pod perfect for two adults two children and a dog. Great place to walk your dogs in the morning and evening with each other taking it in turns using the empty fields. My eldest son enjoyed playing with other children of a similar age during our stay and other campers were very friendly. No park etc for the children however a big open space for the children to play and explore which my children thoroughly enjoyed doing. Clitheroe was a short distance away by car if needed big supermarkets and great local shops and pubs. Walks in Bolton by Bowland were breathtaking and very peaceful didn’t meet many people at all. The river Ribble was again pretty and very tranquil to sit and admire. Would definitely recommend and will be returning for sure.

There are only two things I would mention is the smoke alarm is very close to hob and if you’re even toasting bread it will go off, even with the windows open above the kitchen. Each time we used to toaster/kettle/hob the alarm would go off and each time the window and/or door was open. Secondly the outside lights and side lights in the pod didn’t work, only the bathroom light and the main light worked, which of an evening became difficult with the children being in the dark and if we were sat outside of an evening the lights didn’t work outside, not a massive problem as we used our torches etc however would’ve been particularly helpful if they had worked.

My partner and I are both walking disabled, I have great trouble in walking as I’m waiting for a spine operation and I have a fractured spine and heart failure…..This was a lovely peaceful place to stay, and Claire went out of her way to help us and to be near the toilets and a beautiful disabled shower! Everyone was so willing to help us unhitch etc, a lovely place to stay, that we will definitely come back again, in the near future……

Friendly, efficient and fabulous service and communication. After a small issue regarding an electric pitch we were offered another place to park on the far field. This was brilliant and I couldn't speak more highly of the owners and the effort that went into ensuring we were happy.

No fault of the owners but there was a 4x4 that parked up on the next field (no tent or anything) on both of our two nights stay. They arrived pretty late and left at silly o clock in the morning. The engine was running on and off which we could hear from our van.

The Oak pod was lovely, Beautifully kept with everything you need. Site was clean, quiet and would suit families and couples and of course dogs. Clare was lovely and welcoming. Will definitely be going back. Great central location for some beautiful walks and pubs with great food. Amazing views from campsite. Loved listening to the cows and sheep and owls!! Highly recommend.

The campsite is in a great location and was perfect for us in a semi remote setting with a lovely gastropub a short walk away which does amazing food (Coach & Horses).
We also walked from the campsite to Sawley for a pint by the river and it was wonderful (Spread Eagle).
We were blessed with good weather but the pod has everything you need to stay regardless of weather and could easily cater for 4 adults or 2 adults and children. Also great to have below items:
> kitchen Facilities - pots, pans, cutlery, glasses, plus coffee and tea!
> en-suite
> sofa and tv
> WiFi
> indoor and outdoor tables.
