Absolutely perfect, great people, lovely little shop, adorable farm animals and it was so peaceful. We will be booking every other weekend. It was perfect

Nothing to dislike

farm owners were amazing and the food they sell is incredible. Great service and a really good view of the roaches.

Literally nothing, just wish we put the tent a little closer to the toilets 😂

Nice site with lots of spaces. Good clean toilets that were well maintained. Loved that we could have a campfire. Lovely greeting by the owners when we got there showing us the layout.

Loved the surroundings/ beautiful views. People who run it are lovely and helpful. Very rural and farm set up -worked well.

Loved the farm shop, had many milkshakes and also took some away!

We dont drink alcohol but they had converted a horse box into a bar which seemed popular with others.

Other good facilities like toilet block which was clean and topped up with loo roll / soap (didn’t have to ask).

Didn’t use showers so cannot comment on the cleanliness etc there but didn’t hear others complaining!

Massive field so even if busy there is a lot of space for everyone. Also when we were , everyone was respectful, not too loud etc :)

Seemed there were some keen hikers on site, so must be some good walks around , obviously Peak District not too far away.

Would stay again as overall brilliant place

Busier than I would have liked as our dog is dog reactive so if we take him with us , we obviously have to take him to a dog friendly site but then we stress if it is busy because we try to avoid him getting stressed ! Not the sites / any other sites problem!:p

The staff are amazing, shop fantastic, lovely site.
Husband and brother enjoy fishing even if it's a hard lake to fish.

Toilets most of the time we only had one Toilet. There only 2 to start with and in morning in a nightmare as people waiting to use the toilet as well as have a wash.

Large clean field,very quiet,toilets amazing for campsite,clean aswel,farm shop and mobile bar they had was real handy,prices not too high. Staff helpful

Friendly greeting on arrival at site.
Straight forward site rules.
Great being able to hire a fire pit, made a huge difference on chilly nights.
Farm shop has lots of useful items in stock as well as a great selection of own produce including a funky milk & milkshake vending machine.
Fantastic views from the pitches as well.
Unsure about Wi-Fi as mast really close to sight so good phone signal.

Toilet doors could use an ‘In Use’ sign as slightly disconcerting when someone tries the door handle mid visit.
Floodlight on side of farm building stays on for most of night (assume for security) but sensor would be a good upgrade so you can enjoy the fantastic dark sky's.
Some of the other site users are a bit heavy footed when using the access road so possibly consider a 5 or 10 MPH speed limit sign to discourage this.

The shop isn’t basic in my opinion, it has a lot of choice and great camping bits that you may of forgot! Lots of farm animals, couple of pubs in walking distance, easy check in, free to camp where you want, late checkout, hardly any rules which is so relaxed, nice and quiet site, lovely lake and Mountain View’s. Lovely ice cream sold in the shop, along with fresh meat, flavoured milk, eggs and drinks/sweets.

Cheap in my opinion.

Only 1 shower available, which you had to book. £2.50 which I don’t think is too bad but the pressure of the shower was extremely poor. Shower attached to owners home so time limited also (understandable)

Needs more than 2 toilets, fishermen/women shared toilets with campers, definitely needs 5 minimum - there is a shed next door to toilets so could use that, or have portaloos (interested to know if plans for more toilets to be installed

Pitches aren’t the flattest but not bad atall.

With these 2 points improved, I definitely think the sites one of the best in the area, especially for the money.

Great location. Close to country walks and local attractions tittesworth and the roaches. Close to leek and Buxton.
