This was the perfect place to stay! A lovely little getaway, very well kept and clean. We will definitely be visiting again.

Excellent facilities. Good pitches. Very helpful, we broke down and had to get the car fixed. There was no problem with extending our stay and they pointed us in the right direction of a reasonably priced garage.

Loved the pre designated pitch allocation which means you can just drive straight to your spot and pitch on arrival. Great communication beforehand too. We were first time caravaners and had booked a grass pitch but the weather beforehand (and during our entire stay) was appalling and we were offered another all weather pitch before arrival - if we wanted it.
If you don’t mind a bit of travelling, the site is a great location for trips to Manchester - about 40 mins by train. We also did a road trip to Liverpool (about an hour). The Yorkshire dales and Peak District are also manageable with journey times of about an hour or so (depending on traffic obviously). Locally there is some lovely countryside just round the corner too.
We didn’t eat out locally very much but had a great tandoori mixed grill at Anaz Indian Restaurant in Darwen - great service there too!
The site itself was quiet during the week but busier at weekends. There are toilets and showers on site that are kept spotlessly clean and a dish washing area, plus usual chemical and grey waste and drinking water points. There is a children’s play park in the middle of the site. Eggs are sometimes for sale just outside the gate and an ice cream visits each day.
The showers are operated by £1 coins (£1 buys you 5 mins). As most people on site are either in a motorhome or caravan - they have the ability to shower in their own unit. But we liked the option of paying for a nice long hot shower when we wanted and thought it was good value.
This is a simple site, which is well run with a light touch.

Loved everything. Lovely setting, perfect for families with young children. Pitches were great, facilities were lovely and clean. There’s also wifi which worked fine. We would definitely return :)

Such a lovely pod so spotless and new.
Kids had a great time and the park just in the centre so you can watch them from outside your pod and a extra was a icecream van came on the site as well.
Already re booked for our next stay in September.

Everything! The site is beautiful and well looked after. The pod was lovely, clean and spacious, it had everything we needed. We had the best weekend and was really able to relax. Our little boy loved the field area in the middle with the park to play football and run around, it’s a great set up for families. The host were helpful and attentive. We will definitely be back!

The campsite is first class. Staff very friendly. Site is clean. Toilets and showers excellent. Owner is very friendly. Level pitches. Good wifi.

What a lovely place to stay, the views are beautiful. Fantastic play area for the kids, lovely clean facilities and very pleasant owners. Even had an ice cream van come round, which went down particularly well. Highly recommended.

Didn't realise how small the midi pod was - think this was more my misunderstanding, but it is tiny.
