Such a wonderful place - the owners have gone to a lot of trouble to make the site as lovely as it is! They are super friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The pitches are tidy and well-maintained, and the facilities are absolutely sparkling. The site is very peaceful and we'd highly recommend it!

Excellent hard standing pitch and spotless, spacious facilities. Homegrown produce on sale and fresh croissants available to order for breakfast. Areas of wilding to encourage wildlife were amazing. Can’t fault it!

Spacious, level pitches; great communication from owners; clean facilities; suggested walks with maps; well-looked after campsite. Easy two mile walk into town centre. Fantastic view of the stars on a clear night.

Welfare facilities

The chap who runs the site, was strange from the start, I said I’d read his sign on the main house door that read something like park your car here and walk down the drive to be checked in, so I walked down. Spoke with this chap and said I’d booked a pitch for two days to which he replied ok, where is your car? I said up the drive he said get it then in a patronising way. I explained that I had to bring 2 cars to which he charged me for, that’s fine even though they were on the same pitch taking no more space really. I had a fire the same night where he asked me to put the wood in a tub that’s fine fire hazard etc. but when I mentioned I tried to buy the wood from them but I bought it from the service station is they were closed he looked and spoke in an intimidating manor”but you bought the wood from us yeah” I just said yeah and ignored it.. also mentioned there is a pub close by and said do you have kids ? I said yeah, he said, oh well you can forget that idea then and that were that. reminded me of someone from a movie where he’d turn up at the door with a chainsaw or an axe to start cutting people up.. every other site I’ve stayed at have been v accommodating and polite.
Wouldn’t stay here again maybe that’s what I should expect for a cheap price.

The bell tent was lovely, heater provided which kept it cosy. Nice showers for a camp site and the site itself was beautiful.

Had to provide our own bedding; pillows and duvet. Wifi was complimentary but it didn’t work / couldn’t connect any devices.

Lovely pitch, surrounded by wildflowers. Very nice clean toilet/shower area (again with lots of nice flowers outside) Convenient room with laundry/microwave/plug sockets etc and had a little bookshelf with honesty box.

Such a peaceful, relaxing place to spend your time. The owners are really nice (they make gorgeous croissants to order). The shoo was very good value and had a few welcome essentials. Pitches and other areas had plenty of space with nature encouraged in between pitches. We went on a motorbike and found the site manageable for two wheels. Parking was next to the tent and the hired teepee was really spacious and well kitted out with essentials. The bed was comfortable. The toilets and showers were immaculate and warm. I would definitely go again because it was peaceful. The site doesn’t have noisy entertainment or activities but that’s what makes it for me. Children were there and they were happy to entertain themselves.

Lovely feeling site. The staff were friendly love the eggs,jam etc. Showers and toilets were spotless.
