Really well maintained, nice location, good amenities, friendly owners, clean facilities

Beautiful location, warm welcome, fantastic toilets and (free) showers, washing up facilities, short drive to Hay-on-Wye, small playground and orchard.

Slightly sloping pitches and a little bit of a walk to the bathrooms from the Wild Camping field in the middle of the night 🌙.

Stayed here for the second time and loved it as much as the first.
Nice facilities - always clean and tidy. Play area is good and the ‘meadow’ for dog walking is nice.
Love the honey bees and orchard too such a nice site. Can’t wait to come here again.

Loved it all, the staff were so super helpful and were on hand if needed.
The site is beautifully kept and has some lovely added touches such as levelling blocks to use.
Ideally based for all the adventures in the Brecons national park and hay on wye, just wish we could’ve stayed longer!

Great camp site, very quiet. Toilets and showers are spotlessly clean. Staff at site are very helpful. Only a short drive from Hay on Wye.

Cleanliness of the site is exemplary.
We liked the play area that was designed to be in clear view of all tents.
Good idea to provide picnic benches near pitches.
Water taps provided for each electric pitch.
Orchard and surroundings were nice.
5 min drive from Hay-on-Wye.

The site managers mowed the lawns near the pitches on ride on mowers for hours on end when little children were playing and the constant noise was a deal breaker for us. It was the antithesis of a quiet relaxing holiday. When asked politely to maybe mow the lawn at another time, we were told, "sorry mate this is a working farm". We didn't appreciate that the owners forgot that what we city dwellers really paid for is peace and quiet not exquisite grass.

There were many wasps around, which we were mostly ok with but the site manager came and put ant poison in an area of concentrated wasps near where the kids were playing. They did not put any signs of caution or describing what they had applied. So no one was aware that there was ant poison there!
My little three year old came covered in the white powder and we had to quickly wash it all off to protect her after we realised what she had touched.

The site backs on to a major road carrying huge farm vehicles and thus the vibrations and noise of the passing vehicles were off putting.

Peaceful field all to ourselves, long grass around pitches for wildlife, beautiful views across the valley, showers and toilets immaculately clean and work well including hooks and shelves for belongings, wild camping is separate from the caravans and the family camping field so everyone is catered for.
