We had an ensuite pitch which was great ideally located near to everything but overlooking fields.
Ashbourne Heights is a really clean and well maintained site and ideally located to get to all the lovely local places very highly recommend.

Fantastic park for children of all ages. Well placed to explore the Peak District. Owner was very kind and friendly. Immaculately presented grounds. Great to have the option of a swimming pool on site. Some lovely pub restaurants local.

Toilets and showers felt very far away from where tent pitches were. A bit tricky when you’ve got a 3 year old going to and from toilets.

Site facilities and staff are brilliant and we’d love to return once ground conditions improve

Unfortunately, the ground conditions were extremely poor due to excess rainfall. The site warden told us that bookings had been cancelled and we should have been one of those. We ended up having to pack up and come home early due to this.

We arrived early and was greeted with a friendly service and I mentioned we were early. Luckily our glamping pod was ready so was able to check in early.
The glamping pod was excellent! Better than expected, had a separate shower, wc room. Also had small kitchette, including kettle, toaster, microwave, table and TV. Bed sheets were clean, ironed and comfortable bed and bed settee.
Lovely view and private area to enjoy the countryside view, was very relaxing and nice waking up to that view.
Kids enjoyed the play park and swimming. Changing rooms a little small but we showered back at our pod.

Could do with longer opening hours for swimming pool bookings.
A little dust in the pod.

A nice location and clean, well-kept park. The glamping pod was nice and warm & quiet. Pods have their own toilet and shower which is a bonus 😌 also, 5G connection is great 👍🏼

The location, far enough away to feel you are in the country, close enough to civilisation!
The pool, in walking distance and great to relax in.
Little shop onsite, has just what you need if you need to pick up some bits and pieces.
Can pull up and things just work, no issues with hook ups or finding the amenities etc.
Great long walk down on the Tissington Trail, the start being on the actual site too!
Fresh water was 25 yards ish from our pitch, absolutely brilliant 🙂

No dislikes, more observations.

Shop and pool could be open a little later, but that’s just because of the kids wanting to swim later (and it’s largely the off season too so understandable the hours might be shorter etc).

Good spacious pitches. Toilet and shower facilities were clean. Location is good for walks and pubs.

Good position on site for camping and electric pitch good as close to the toilet/shower block and washing up area.
Clearly marked pitches
Great to have the option to book in got swimming.
Laundry worked well - but the signage for using the app is on the wall to the right so a bit confusing for first time users.
Close to so many fab things to do locally. Great pubs too for food.
Toilet block had 2 large fan heaters on at all times which made it lovely and warm. Loads of toilets available.
Great large park by reception but it was too wet for us to get much use out of it. Looked fab!

Showers were like warm at best, which, when camping in October was a bit challenging.
Swimming pool rules v strict for timings which made it a bit difficult when everyone had to leave as the changing rooms were really small.
Cleaning of the washing up areas not great (maybe because out of season?) a pile of pasta in one of the sinks was there when we arrived Sunday evening and took until Wednesday morning to be removed.
Electric points really quite spread out so bring a long cable.
Pitches are a reasonable size - but we have a 7 man air tent which is quite large so car needed to be parked elsewhere. Not a dislike but something to be aware of.

The free use of swimming bath.

Shop needs more essential items and treats. On-site pizza/food wagon visiting of a weekend would be amazing.
