Lovely area

  • Liked: Stayed at this site for 3 nights over the bank holiday.
We were sited round the mill pond and had a lovely view.the wardens are very strict about parking your van but that suited us.we didn't have children with us but we could see there wasn't any play equipment.but people booking with children knew this.there is plenty of lovely walks and fishing for the children.a huge camping field where many sports could be played.
The reason there is only one toilet block s because it is a flood ridden area in the winter and there are no safe places to build.yes, the block is old but we weren't there for a spa.they were kept clean and tidy at all times.
The wardens were cheery and helpful.
Two villages to visit for shop, pubs. Very unhappy with food in the angel but the beers were good.
Fish and chip van every Saturday and ice cream van everyday.
A beautiful site and we will visit again.

  • Disliked: The people with noisy dogs who complained about children on bikes!!!
    Spiders in the loos.!!

Nice Area Poor Site

(Mature couple, 1 review)

  • Date stayed: Aug 2012
  • Recommend to friends   Visit again
  • Liked: Being next to a river and passing boats

    Feeling quite spacious

    Local are is very interesting
  • Disliked: Children left free to play games around other peoples vans, including kicking a ball

    The grass was quite long

Very few water points and fewer drainage

Long way to a reasonably clean but very very out of date toilet block, very like my army days in the 50,s

We have three kids - aged 11, 7 and 5. We visited Yarwell Mill Caravan Park in July, 2012.

(Family with young children, 1 review)   Confirmed

  • Liked: The way the plots are located everyone gets a bit of a view to water/river/pond. Facilities (loo and showers) are clean and well lit at night, management was friendly and helpful. Proximity to a quaint, picturesque village is nice as well.
  • Disliked: No activities for kids. Even just a basketball court or some outdoor games would be great.
