Field with toilet..

(Family with young children, 1 review)   Confirmed

  • Date stayed: Apr 2014
  • Recommend to friends   Visit again
  • Liked: Quiet, lots of space and camp fires permitted.
  • Disliked: Car grounding on entrance road. Camping field is literally a field. Thats ok but ground was rough! Facilities were limited to a toilet block. Not somewhere to stay for more than a couple of nights.

Awesome Holiday!

(With friends, 1 review)   Confirmed

  • Date stayed: Aug 2013
  • Recommend to friends   Visit again
  • Liked: Reasonably priced, being able to have camp fires was a huge bonus. Was nice & quiet but not so much that you felt like you couldn't make noise. Easy access to drinking water.
  • Disliked: There were times during the day where the loos became a bit dirty, but that was more down to other campers. I wouldn't recommend this place for a long stay due to the lack of showers.

peaceful

(Family with young children, 1 review, 2 photos)   Confirmed

  • Date stayed: Jun 2013
  • Recommend to friends   Visit again
  • Liked: It was refreshing to stay at such a simple campsite. Two very clean loo's (hot and cold running water and electricity) and a water tap.

apart from that a huge meadow .... pitch up any where.... start your camping. Light your fire and relax.

No computers, not phones just me and the family!

My son laughed and ran and played... No TV!!!

OH and the pub served lovely meals with a friendly smile!!

    We will return!
  • Disliked: Not a thing!!!

Friendly welcome. Basic sight.

(Young couple, 1 review)   Confirmed

  • Date stayed: Aug 2012
  • Recommend to friends   Visit again
  • Liked: This was a good, basic, cheap campsite. It was close to the castles of Herstmonceaux and Pevensey, the beauty of Beachy Head and Eastbourne and the quiet beauty of the local countryside. This campsite allows dogs and campfires - an absolute must for me. The food at the pub was excellent too, particularly the pigeon! Excellent quality beers too.
  • Disliked: The lack of a shower block in the field was an issue. The toilets were excellent and clean though.

Lovely stay!

(Young couple, 1 review)   Confirmed

  • Date stayed: Aug 2012
  • Recommend to friends   Visit again
  • Liked: The nice friendly staff at the pub. The fact we could light a little fire or disposable bbq. The odd yet amusing pigs in a little field nearby (no smells though!) The loos were lovely too.
  • Disliked: A shower facility would be smashing

  • Liked: Simplicity itself, book online, find The Bulls Head and get directed to pitches.
Plenty of space so no need to pitch right next to anyone else. Very good value for money, we went back the following weekend as is a great base to get to local areas.
  • Disliked: Nothing to dislike.
