Decent field, convenient water point, nice clean loos and showers, civilised cafe.
Went for the Nick Drake Gathering, and it was nice to have our own dedicated field.

    Disliked:

Bit of a hike to the loo, not something you want to do in the dark.
Nobody from the campsite available on site.
Being charged an extra £10 per night to put up my awning when there was acres of room and nobody around to check anyway.

Excellent Pizzeria, Meh Breakfast, Pricey Camping19/07/2022

I've been camping here since around 2010. Since I was last here in 2018 it's evolved from a farm with casual camping to a multi-function site. The pizzeria is a fantastic new edition, offering quickly made and cooked food, that's good value for money. Also a really good choice of soft and alcoholic drinks to compliment your choice of pizza. I had a can of rose wine with my Margarita, and Simon had a San Pelligrino lemon, ("Tory Fanta" he joked), with his Nduja. The outside dining area is also a great alternative to drinking at The Bell Inn in the village.

With the Children's Farm and playground on site, it's a perfect family campsite.

The breakfast options have become limited. Gone are the full English and veggie breakfasts. The standard breakfast is now a filled brioche with few options of fillings at £5. If you don't like this new uber cool hipster sweet bread, (I don't), your options are very limited. I'm guessing that the new options are to increase profits, or the menu has been adapted due to a cut in kitchen facilities.

The price of camping here has gone up dramatically. When I saw it was £60 for two nights, I though it was very steep. Though the site has been vastly developed over the last few years.

    Handy location to motorway.

    Disliked:

Lack of water supply near by the camp field, campers should be aware that if they camp by the access road to the farm they may step out their tent/van in the morning to hoards of parents and children flocking to the play barn.

The facilities were clean and in good working order. The onsite coffee shop had a friendly atmosphere. The onsite pizzeria was incredible. Locally sourced ales on tap. A large outdoor play area for children and indoor play barn will keep them entertained all day. Lots of outdoor walking to be enjoyed and lots to be done in the surrounding areas. Our weekend spent on the estate was an absolute dream. For the kids play areas alone the price a bonafide bargain.
