Liked: Lovely, quiet site with all the facilities for a comfortable stay. We only stayed one night for a day visit to the Commonwealth Games and Umberslade turned out to be really convenient for that as well. So anyone wanting a peaceful, beautiful rural place to stay with easy access to Birmingham (and of course to explore the stunning local rural treats) this is the place to choose. The hosts also provided answers to a few questions promptly via text messages in advance of our arrival.

Lots of spaceDisliked: Lack of access to proper bins - not clear where we should be getting rid of waste. We could see big wheelie bins but these were gated off in the farm area. Smaller bins dotted around but I could see others were confused by this also as there was food waste in the big bin in the toilet
Only 2 showers - not a problem with volume of people staying when we visited but could be a problem with greater number of campers

Liked: Open space and flat pitches. Clean toilet/shower facilities. Lovely play park. I think it's designed and set up more for the day business on the estate and the camping field is an add on. The upside to that is the decent toilet block and nice showers.
Disliked: No clear signs for drinking water taps. Only 2 showers so queues at busy times.

Liked: The beautiful estate, lovely country walks, playground for kids, pizza parlour and cafe. Lots of space. Friendly person on the end of a mobile.
Disliked: Lack of freezer for ice-packs, the gate didn’t lock at 5 as stated so felt a bit insecure. No recycling. Weird walking to the shower block in your PJ’s with loads of locals having standard day trips there! 😅 Quite pricey for the campers resources.
