Pleasant walks along river bank in both directions with pubs and restaurants within walking distance of the site although they were quite expensive for meals and really busy.
Friendly welcome from on site staff, fire pits were free to use and a small charge for logs.
Disliked: Entrance to campsite was like a builders yard and the ground Spacious pitches within a great location.

Chemical waste disposal was a hole in the ground on the driveway which was at the furthest point away from pitch so didn’t use it. Couldn’t understand why it wasn’t by the toilet block.
Although it probably is peaceful most of the time we found that there were a dozen kids playing in the middle of the site with parents that seemed to think it was fine to let their children constantly scream and shout whilst playing.
Power went off several times and no explanation given to us at the time.

Liked: Site is very quiet and hidden away from the road but just outside the gates you have plenty to do. We booked for 2 nights but stayed 3 as it was so peaceful. Lady that welcomes you in was very pleasant and showed us straight to our pitch. Fire pits and logs made our evenings.
Will return without hesitation.
