Small campsite on its own mountain! Epic views and peaceful surroundings. There are 2 luxurious-looking bell tents and a cabin, but we stayed in our own tents. Ideal for individual travellers as they charge per person not per tent at very reasonable prices.
One beautiful bathroom - huge brand new double shower, hot water guaranteed, and a couple of portaloos if the bathroom is occupied, though didn't have to use them in a week's stay as it's a small site. Really lovely friendly family that run the farm/campsite - couldn't do enough for us! They even gave us flasks of boiling water when we struggled with our camping kettle, they also provide hot drinks from their home at the entrance to the site (hot chocolate with marshmallows anyone?) and unlike other campsites supplied us with a whole firepit kit for just a fiver - unlimited wood - they even carried it over for us!
Campsite was right next to horse-riding (Pentre stables), fishing, three waterfalls walk, and showcaves.
Despite its seemingly remote location, there are a couple of take-aways that deliver to site. There are also 3-4 really beautiful pubs nearby that do delicious food at surprisingly affordable prices, but most dont serve on Mondays. The Abercrave Inn does fortunately, and has a garden with a waterfall.
Had no problem getting consistent, good 4G+ reception on site. To be fair, we didn't ask about WiFi.
If you do like animals - they have cows, sheep, chickens and ducks, and two very well behaved dogs - all of whom are kept well away from the actual camping field and facilities (my travelling buddy has animal allergies and was fine), but close enough to meet if you'd like to!
Magical little find!
