We were really impressed with the immaculate facilities and surrounding pitches, roads etc.
members or the team were very polite and very approachable. Would definitely recommend widemouth bay park as a great place to go.

The grass had been cut but all the grass had been left…the next tent over was just a couple of metres from ours…lots of people playing music despite this not being allowed, including at 2am. Very busy. Toilets ran out of soap in the morning.

Great entertainment. Lots to do for everyone. Great location

Swimming pool changing rooms dirty..field our pitch was in had no fresh water tap.

- Swimming pool (but can only book one hour slot a day)
- Black Rock Pool beach close

More things to note rather than dislike… Also I was travelling alone with a one and four year old so it is quite tricky:
- Site is on quite a steep hill from pool back to our pitch was a ten minute walk uphill
- Only one toilet/shower block which was quite a way from our pitch
- Black Rock Pool beach is most safely accessible via the coat path which I found out the hard way is NOT suitable for pushchairs or camping trolleys (information on the campsite website about beach accessibility would be useful as this was one thing I was looking for when I booked)

Location was great and the staff were helpful. Good dog walk on site. Lovely indoor pool and well equipped shop on site. Lovely sunsets visible from site.

On arrival we found there was no drive over grey waste disposal so not really equipped for motorhomes. Roads on site were poorly maintained, full of potholes and wheel troughs. Cleanliness of communal showers and toilets was great until half term week when it was sadly lacking. Constant lack of hand soap and toilet paper. Excrement and soiled pants in gents, dirty nappy left lying around. Floors full of grass cuttings and sand. Not staff's fault. Staff worked hard but would need to significantly increase cleaning regime when site is busy to maintain any decent standard of hygiene. Site seemed overcrowded during half term week, putting extra pressure on shared facilities and resulted in people erecting chairs on the roadways preventing use by vehicles. We ate in the clubhouse once. Food was edible but basic reheated frozen food.

We've been to Widemouth a few times over the years, it's a great site with excellent washing/toilet facilities which are pretty much kept on top of throughout the day.. Always found the staff helpful and courteous.

There is Wi-fi but you'll need to be down by the reception area to get it. As it's primarily a static caravan site the facilities are pretty good, on site pool (though we've never used it so can't comment), bar with entertainment and food which is also available to take out should you wish (I can recommend the pepperoni pizza, very nice).

It was pre-pandemic last time we went (2019 I think) and I'd forgotten just how hilly the site is. There's probably only about 10 pitches that are actually level, the rest are on varying degrees of slope and the level one's do seem to be prioritised toward trailer tents and smaller motorhomes. It's not a deal breaker but it does mean planning out which way you pitch your tent or you're likely to roll off your airbed in the night lol.

This time around we ended up at the far side of the site and it's a fair trek to the toilets from there (800 plus steps there and according to my tracker), there is supposed to one closer but down quite a steep hill, alas it was closed whenever we tried it and its quite a climb back to then trudge back to the main block and still needing a pee!
