Friendly and informative staff on arrival.
All necessary information given, with helpful answers to questions, the pitch itself was well maintained and services. The staff in the club complex were friendly and welcoming.
The indoor swimming pool was heated, showers warm and the changing rooms were excellent. Life guard on duty, pool and surroundings in clean well cared for condition.
All in all we had three great days there, handy for the beach, a great location for the Southwest Coast Path. Finally not forgetting the amenities on the site, showers, toilets and washing up facilities first class. Will we stay there again , definitely.

The view is nice but you could get that from one of the nicer looking campsites closer to the beach.

Where to even start? The site is was so hilly; almost every single tent pitch was on a slope which meant you slide out of bed while you’re asleep. Although this becomes slightly less of an issue since getting to sleep is more or less impossible given all of the drunk idiots arguing and kids screaming outside your tent at all hours.

We were thrown out of the clubhouse having been told that it’s against the rules to leave two happily sleeping dogs in their crates in your own tent while you go and get some dinner. It’s worth pointing out that this isn’t written anywhere on any of the park rules unless you’re renting one of their caravans. Given that the night before there was a Husky howling for four hours in the tent next to us while the owners got drunk at the bar and no one said a word, we found this pretty unbelievable. Dogs aren’t able to go into the entertainment either and get relegated to the unbelievably miserable looking bar area. So given that you can’t take your dogs with you and you can’t leave them on their own in the tent; this leaves you with very few options. The beaches nearby aren’t dog friendly either. We turned up to Widemouth Bay beach, paid for parking, only to get to the entrance and see the worlds tiniest “no dogs” sign.

The facilities were disgusting. Black floors covered in mud in the showers and toilets. One block for the entire campsite and it showed. The disabled toilet in the clubhouse didn’t have a lock on it, which I discovered during the entire 40 minutes we were allowed to be there.

No phone signal. Wi-Fi only in the clubhouse which as I said you can’t go in if you have dogs. And even if you don’t, it’s still not worth it. The clubhouse is loud, dirty, small, overcrowded, and the food is expensive and gross.

Avoid. Just avoid.

The pitch was lovely; the ground was soft and easy to pitch our tent, we had a fantastic pitch with lots of space and the field was quiet with beautiful views.

Only one toilet block, a little run down and the floor often needed a clean.
The showers were a low point for the site , too few, dirty floors (needed to leave shoes on) and the water pressure completely disappeared if more than one shower was in use at the same time. Had to get up at 6am to use the showers before anyone else to ensure the water didn't disappear.

We liked the swimming pool and the club house, my son really enjoyed playing football in the football area ( behind the club house) in the evening's. We liked the area and site staff were friendly and helpful
