Good clean pitch, hook up good size of pitch .

No adequate disability facilities although we had been told there was. What was supposedly disabled facilities were one toilet with high sharp metal step in toddlers size toilet ie foot off the ground no grab bars,shower in same room again no grab bars or shower seat all in all unusable final grump top part of door glass felt exposed

The location of this site was great, between Harlech and Barmouth. There is a railway station a couple of minutes away to take you up & down the west coast.
Staff on arrival were friendly and helpful.

I don't like running down a site. However, i believe this is a fair review.
This site is run by a chain, they have many other sites across North Wales. This company seems to concentrate all their efforts into static caravans.
The glossy brochure we received at reception did not match our experience. Toilet block was a bland prefab. It does need a mop & bucket to keep this facility clean. Shower cubicle was very "tight". I ended up getting dressed outside the cubicle. The walls of the shower cubicle in need of a serious clean. There is a very off putting rusty radiator. My wife didn't fancy getting a shower as we were only staying the one night.
Couldn't understand why there is just one sink for washing dishes, especiallywhen there are so many pitches. As this was not under cover or indoors, if it rains, you get wet!
In the morning I went to take a photo of the view towards the sea which is close. Standing on a chair to get a better view, I was shocked to see over the wall in the next field what can only as a caravan graveyard.
This site would benefit from tarmac tracks/paths around the site. As it was wet when we visited, the ground was soft & vehicles left tracks as they drove around the site.

Stunning views of the sea and hills. Lovely location to watch the sunset.

Easy walking distance from the beach and nearby Sands Entertainment, which has a shop, arcade, fish and chips and entertainment.

Pitches are good size and not too cramped.

As others have said, the toilet block is not always clean and does smell. There are a decent number of showers and toilets, but the showers have a lot of mould. They are push button use and go off very quickly. The toilets get messy very quickly, I'm sure because of other campers, but then given the numbers on site, I think cleaning once a day doesn't cut it.
When it rains, the deck outside the female toilets in particular floods a lot too.

Thourouly enjoyed my stay with my daughter, first night camped, second night pod, I changed to pod as we were due a lot of rain, this was no problem at all for me to change.

I liked the people there that was about it.

On arrival we had a male worker meet us and he was very stern from the start! Told us if he didn’t think our tent was the size it was he would charge us more and I replied no I’ll show you on the email that it was a 4 person tent to which he said it’s what he deems as a 4 man tent!!
Then he said we must be out before 10am and I said the booking told us the latest we can leave is 10am and he said no you have to be out before 10 am.
So that started to make for a good holiday.
The toilets was disgusting. There was toilet roll over the floor, poo marks near the toilet roll holder and also on the back of some of the seats.
One of the days the water in the shower was just Luke warm it wouldn’t even heat up.

I wouldn’t come back! And I wouldn’t recommend going there.

Staff was really friendly, the pods have loads of space and really warm, very cosy.

Need a water tap behind each pod or between two

We would like to say a big thankyou to the lady on reception on Saturday 31/08 for giving us a quieter pitch as our son is autistic. She was really helpful. Views to the beach were lovely.

The main area looked to be cramming a lot of people in and very close together. Could do with more shower units as very busy in the morning.

Pod was clean, staff friendly and helpful.

Good clean facilities, all very well kept and looked after, staff very nice and approachable.
We were allocated a pitch next to the toilets and in between 2 families that knew each other, as soon as we arrived we knew it would be noisy and not the environment we wanted. We asked the staff to move and despite being fully booked for the weekend, they were more than happy to help and gave us a quieter spot.
All in all, very good weekend
