I am glad I came across Marshlands Alpacas - I was hoping to break up a long drive back south from a weekend up north and this was the perfect place for it. Julie & Garry were very welcoming and their small, cosy site is beautifully maintained and equipped. The bathrooms are spotlessly clean and of a very high standard (the best I have come across in any campsite), the pitches are peaceful, neatly ordered and super tidy, and the Alpaca Clubhouse is a great welcoming space with a fully equipped bar and ample chargers for your phone (if you don’t have an electric hookup on your pitch). The resident alpacas are delightful and hilarious in equal measure - be sure to attend Julie’s daily feeding at 9:30am to get to know them better and have some alpaca pats! Thank you for a great night’s stay - highly recommended.

Small, very friendly site with good size pitches. Toilet and shower facilities are excellent, clean and well maintained.
The Alpacas certainly provide a novel attraction and are very cute!
The on site bar is superb and very dog friendly, with a good range of spirits and bottled beers. Only Bierra Moretti and Strongbow dark fruits on draught, but is not an issue.
No food served, but takeaways can be ordered in and eaten in the bar.

Not in the site owner's control, but the mobile / data signal is quite poor on EE. I can't comment on other networks. However, this wouldn't put me off from returning to this site.

Nice well presented site clearly looked after with pride. Clean on site facilities and a nice pub which is new to the site.

Poor WiFi/Internet signal, not much in walks for dogs.
