Cleanliness of facilities an atmosphere around the camp.
Felt safe for our 9 year olds to wander to the games room or hideout without having to worry. The campsite was lovely an tranquil on arrival - it did get abit busier due to us overlapping a bank holiday weekend but it was never hectic. Everything was near enough eg toilets, washing facilities etc.
Swimming pool booking was simple an helpful so it doesn't get overrun an you can enjoy your time slot. We had a lot of kids so we didn't want to annoy others. Our friends visited the cafe an said it was lovely although we didn't get chance.
The site is well placed to go see loads of activities in the surrounding areas an we'd definitely like to come back again.

There wasn't much to dislike - the shop could have been open later an had abit of a bigger range especially of camping specific items in case you've run out/forgotten anything. As the nearest shops aren't close. But that was very minor.
Our pitch was on abit of hill/bumpy patch but we made it work an had adequate space around us luckily however our friends in another spot were quite crammed in so I'm glad we weren't out where they were.

Manor Wood is a lovely site and the staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

We had an issue with a machine in the laundry and the friendly warden Kim came to sort it straight away.

The pool was a massive hit with our daughter but unfortunately other guests behaviour made us cut short our swims.

The pitch size was adequate for our needs and it was perfectly placed for the showers and pool.

The staff work very hard at Manor Wood but I found it a shame that certain guests felt the need to leave toilets in such a mess day after day. Loo roll over the floors, toilets not flushed. Children messing in the toilets and showers unsupervised.

We look forward to returning.

The WiFi wasn't great and could be better.

The shower temperatures are very temperamental and the water can go scolding hot then freezing cold without any notice.
Also there was a very foul smell coming from the shower drains. Showers again were not treated respectfully by other guests.
We found clumps of ginger curly hair left on the shower room floor and spit. It's not fair to leave this to staff to sort. Don't be a pig and pick your own mess up! I felt sorry for the staff having to deal with this in a daily basis!

The shop was very expensive, £2.50 for a loaf of bread is extortionate!

Some guests did take the mick with the timed slots for swimming by overstaying their swim time meaning the next session was busier than it should be.

We only noticed staff acting on this on day 6 of our 7 day break. A staff member should be at the pool to crack down on this before someone is seriously injured.

Our first visit to the pool was cut short as teenagers were jumping in and not caring that they were landing very close to othwr swimmers. It was an accident waiting to happen!

The parents of these teens were nowhere to be seen which was annoying!

Cleanliness of the site . Well maintained. This is a lovely peaceful site . Ideal for all ages. Swimming pool , games room tennis courts . Cafe and shop on site. Pub in walking distance.

Dirty toilets and showers. Pool full of green slime and milky water. Teenagers gathering in the toilets of an evening.

Great site with good amenities. Clean toilet and shower blocks and site very well maintained. kids loved the pool, tennis court and games room. Pizza's from café were lovely. would highly recommend for families.

Good facilities, child friendly, excellent views over lakes, easily accessible water.

Plot next to toilet emptying spot so was a bit smelly. Electrics repeatedly tripped out (Colin was on hand and very helpful, we ended up with an extension lead crossing the site. It was just a little niggle we could have done without.)

The location and the view was lovely. The staff were nice and friendly. There is plenty to do if you don’t mind travelling a little bit. All in all a fairly nice campsite.

The shower block could do with a bit of a good clean, especially the floors. We also found the outdoor swimming pool could do with a check throughout the day and cleaned more regular. I also thought the on-site cafe/ restaurant was a little pricey but handy to have. The 10pm Courtesy policy that they have doesn’t seem to really be in place as we noticed a few people had their own rules and went on way over into the night. Not good if you have young children and if you’re getting up early for a day out the next day.

We had a brilliant stay. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The facilities on site are fantastic. They were very clean and well maintained. The cafe overlooking the lake is perfect for a morning coffee. A safe place for young kids to go off and explore. The vibe of the place is very calm and other than the pool area, the whole site is dog friendly. We will definitely be back again!

The only thing that was missing for us was to have a few swings for toddlers.

The facilities were excellent and kept my 15 year old occupied enough for a relaxing break the pool was a hit! Everywhere was clean, staff were friendly and helpful.

Thought the cafe could be open later and offer a larger food/drink choice for the evenings but there plenty of local pubs.

Excellent site with lots to do for everyone. Very clean and well kept. We had a brilliant time and can’t wait to come back.
