Just a beautiful quiet site in gorgeous surroundings. Incredible walks around the campsite and lots to do just a short drive away. Will definitely return to explore more of the area.

1) Arrived at site and drove down to the bottom field where it had two contact numbers, phoned one of them and was told where to pitch up (we had an electric hook up). Owner arrived as we were finishing pitching our tent up and had a chat with home, nice and friendly. We pitched up near the entrance to the field in the middle, plenty of power points along the field.
2) Showers are a portacabin type of layout with six cubicles, can get a bit warm in there when having a shower but no major issue. Decent pressure from the shower and cleaned daily.
3) Toilets are at the side and serve their purpose, saw a review complaining about being able to see your feet from outside when using them but it’s no different from any other cubicle door besides if you’re that concerned just shut the outer door.
4) We had an issue with our regulator on our gas bottle that we brought down with us and the owner came down and lent us his small cooker until we were sorted
5) Fire pit and logs were at a very reasonable price and are old steel car wheels which again serve their purpose
6) Overall even with the pouring down rain we had an enjoyable time at the site and would definitely use again
If you’re looking for a quiet, back to basics campsite without all the commercial frills where they rip you off with on site shops like some other sites then this is ideal

The field is excellent, well kept, flat and lovely scenery all around you. There were plenty of showers that are free to use and kept clean. It was easy to check in. A good basic site that’s quiet and spacious.

We knew this before we booked so it’s not a criticism, however hot water would be beneficial for washing up. The portaloos on the field are a great idea, however there was no chemicals in the one near where we pitched which then caused it to smell, especially in the hot weather. There are 2 toilets at the back of the field which were nice but there was no running water to wash your hands or flush the toilet. There is however toilets near the showers so we were able to use these. I do think sinks with hot water would be a good idea for people to use to have a wash and brush their teeth.

Wonderful camp site, great views and loads of space. The toilet and shower facilities were also excellent for a campsite.

The electric pitches had a generator for the power, which was quite noisy at night - this did impact upon sleep quality.
