Had to take rubbish home as no bins on site (this was clearly advertised so not a surprise) and quite a walk to the toilets/showers from the camping field

This site is amazing. We are pretty keen campers and have been quite a few places over the years, however Cefn Coed is now our new favourite! It's so beautiful! from the moment we arrived to us leaving we had such an amazing time with so many new memories. The pitches in the woods are secluded and very scenic with lot's of wildlife. We especially loved the chicken coming to say hello each morning! we were lucky enough to have an owl above us one night too. Amazing! If we could have stayed longer we would have. The lady owner on the campsite told us about a lovely river just through the campsite maybe a 10 minute walk, it was so beautiful. Our children loved swimming in it and having fun. We really had a wonderful 3 days. We will definitely return. We visited Barmouth every day, which was easy to get to about a 20 minute scenic drive.

The campsite is beautiful and the children loved exploring in the forest and paddling in the stream. We had a lovely cycle into Barmouth for ice cream.

The toilets are quite far away from the lower field, which is tricky for younger children.

Beautiful pitch in the woodland. Our pitch had enough space for our 5 person tent and a fire pit/bbq area.
The trees are a lovely canopy to shield from the sun.
Toilets and showers were OK. Often the paper and hand towels were empty and the showers are a cool temperature, but we had hot weather so didn't mind. There is a small shop on site for basics and a coop about 4 drive away.
The area was beautiful with lots of walking routes and a pub nearby.
The owner is unintrusive and helpful should you need anything.

They have firepits for hire and logs to buy on site.

This campsite (unlike many others) accepts bookings for large groups of males/females. We were unfortunate to have x2 large groups of lads next to us over 2 nights who ignored the 11pm quiet rule and kept everyone up until 3am.

Be aware that cars aren't allowed to drive to the pitches in the woodland. The campsite does provide wheelbarrows to transport your things from carpark to pitch, but it was hard work in the heat and not ideal.

No where to put your rubbish at the end of your stay, you have to take it home.

We stopped for 3 nights in the main field, lovely views, not over crowded even through a Bank Holiday. Short walk through beautiful woodland to the estuary and multiple other walks straight from the site. Facilities modern and clean, showers were hot and good water pressure at different times of the day, washing up facilities and toilets also good. Little shop on site that sells the essentials and some treats. Onsite staff helpful. Had a lovely time, 2 adults, 3y, 1y and doggy, would defiantly book again.

The woodland setting is absolutely beautiful. The pitch we were allocated was hidden away and very private. We had lots of space and beautiful views.
The facilities were clean and the showers were fabulous, good pressure, nice and hot and not a push button in sight!
We ordered Thai food to be delivered to our pitch which was absolutely delicious and a fab service.
