Great location for walking. Close to the beautiful estuary and the surrounding hills are accessible without using the car. Quiet site with plenty of room between tents.
It's definitely somewhere to stay if you like back to basics camping.

Myself and a friend visited this lovely place and stayed on a woodland pitch. These pitches are dotted around the side of the valley on flat areas that all seemed fairly generous. The pitches are cleverly positioned so that everyone gets a sense of having a piece of the woodland to themselves. Our pitch had a wonderful view across the woodland valley that included the top of Cader Idris.
Facilities were lovely, simple but very well kept. The owner got us settled in and was helpful. It's plain that a lot of thought has gone into this place over the years to make visitors have a good experience, nothing seems over engineered though which is great.
Lots to do in the local area for walkers and cyclists. I have already recommended the site to friends and will happily go back, if in the area. It goes straight into my unique and characterful campsite list. Top notch

Facilities are up a steep track, so if you have mobility issues please be aware of this.

This place is ideal for a perfect getaway, so private in the most beautiful location! Staff were so friendly and they also offer the most amazing Thai food we’ve ever had!

Absolutely stunning site, grass pitches were relatively flat. Close to some nice towns and an hour drive to Pen-y-pass campsite to climb Yr Wyddfa. Happened to be there during Sessiwn Fawr which was a little music festival in Dolgellau which was lovely. George III pub only a 5 minute drive away where we had a nice dinner. We didn’t feel on top of anyone, everyone there was very respectful and no loose dogs which was a bonus for us as our dog does not love other dogs! The campsite shop also seemed well stocked. Showers were hot which is always nice!

Bathrooms and washing area is quite far from the pitches, up a relatively steep hill, would be a struggle with young children or with mobility issues. Seemingly lacking in toilets and showers for the amount of people on site. No bins are available on site either so you have to take your rubbish with you.

Freedom to park where we liked in the big open field, plenty of room with lovely views of surrounding woodland. Lots of small wooded pull ins where you can park up (pre-booked) which gives a feel of wild camping. A short walk through the wood brings you to a gorgeous large estuary where you can walk for about 30-40 minutes to the George pub for a nice meal.

Toilets and showers were far away and I felt that there was not enough room for all the activities you would expect to happen in the building, showers, toilets and pot washing.

A stunning site. Myself and my partner and dog set up by a wood line and field with SENSATIONAL views! Chose to stay for two nights. Great toilets and showers a short walk from wherever you are (hill!) and a shop that stocks pretty much everything you might need. They even sell Thai food for dinner! Just gorgeous.
