The campsite is peaceful, tidy and well maintained. We stayed in a pod, which had a comfortable bed and essentials, such as a kettle and some plastic cups and plates.

The pods get quite hot during the day and quite cold at night, so come prepared for all temperatures.

Set in the beautiful Somerset countryside, Burton Springs is well worth a visit, for both fisherfolk and non fisherfolk alike.
We stayed in the Lotus stargazer bell tent for one night and I wish we could have stayed longer. There is something so peaceful about this site that all of my worries just melted away as I sat and watched the dragonflies skirting over the water and watched the moorhens and their young on the banks of the lakes.
I don’t fish, but I can certainly see the appeal and Burton Springs is a perfect location if you want to camp and fish in a beautiful, well laid out, well cared for site.
The bell tent was equipped with everything we needed. The bed was super comfy and the lighting which we turned on after dusk, added a magical touch to our Glamping experience.
The toilet and shower blocks are basic but very clean and I had a lovely hot, powerful shower in the morning. There’s a small honesty shop on site which is amply stocked. You need cash for the little honesty box, or you can scan and pay on your phone via a QR code inside the shop. We didn’t need the wood burning stove, as it was too warm so we went to the local pub which serves beautiful food. Not just your average pub grub, but a lovely full menu with a ‘hot rocks’ section. We chose sirloin and were able to cook the steaks at our table in seconds! There’s also a good choice of veggie meals and meals for children on the menu. Well worth the short walk. (Flat, ten minutes maximum for even the slowest of walkers. Also wheelchair accessible.)
The morning we left, we relaxed outside the tent on the grass and quite honestly didn’t want to leave!

There’s nothing to dislike. It’s every bit like the description. There’s no WI-FI on the site, but we already knew this as it’s advertised and there’s great 4g signal on site anyway.

Staff were absolutely lovely and set up/check in was super easy. Beautiful site! Clean showers and toilets! Would definitely revisit

A real gem of a campsite. Clean, good facilities, lovely little honesty shop, in all warm and welcoming. No wi-fi, which was great! Fishing lakes are beautiful and well stocked. We were there when the small village fete was on in the next field - it was such a lovely atmosphere, food vans, dog shows stalls and live music, great fun.we will be there next year. The fisher folk have said it will be the new go to place !

Fabulous campsite. Clean and well equipped pod with comfy beds. Great fishing, kids loved it. Facilities very clean and modern. Very helpful staff. Bonus visit from an ice cream van and fish and chip van while we were there. Genuinely one of the nicest camp sites we have stayed at.

Nothing at all

Hosts were amazing! Gareth and Hen have done a wonderful job bringing this camp site to life. We stayed for a week and enjoyed every day. The lakes have been really well looked after and are an absolute pleasure to fish. The pitches are flat and clean, the playground was good fun, the shop was well stocked and the loos/showers kept clean and welcoming throughout the stay.
As a solo camper and also camping with the family I doubt I’ll be looking anywhere else to go on fishing trips or camping holidays. Gareth and Jen can count on us to be repeat customers for years to come. 👍🏼
