Very nice family atmosphere on site. Lots of other nice families with small children for our kids to make friends with. Play park and football area great for kids. Good location for many local attractions. Very friendly and welcoming owner who was always helpful. Fully serviced hard standing pitches including drainage. Very nice panoramic views of Snowdonia from hard standing terraces. Freezer for freeze packs for campers with optional charity box donation, and vending machine reasonably priced. Hard standing pitche fairly level. Shower temprature and pressure fine. Walks from site but we didn't have time to try in our short stay. Went quiet at 10pm and every one respected common camping etiquette. Very good recycling facility except couldn't find paper recycling.

These are small niggles as our overall experience was excellent and the kids loved it. Pitch sizes could be a bit more generous in depth as was on the challenging side to turn our 6.95m MH into and felt a little on the crowded side. Shower block a little dated but perfectly functional. Some irregular steps going between hard standing terraces with sharp stones capping end of walls by steps. Put £9 in tumble dryer, still not dry and wasn't even a full load. Automatic / PIR lights go off when light in facilities block so can be a little dark on overcast days. As I say these are nit picking as this is a great site, but hence 4 stars overall.

Beautiful location, clean and tidy site, well maintained, pitch sizes were good, ours was lined with hedges on the 3 sides giving additional privacy which was lovely.

Website said there was WI-FI, but it didn’t stipulate you needed to pay extra for it. We needed to purchase as had absolutely no signal so weren’t able to load maps etc to work out travel times etc when trying to plan days out. Even with the Wi-Fi, our part of the site couldn’t access it. We bought fire wood from the site which wasn’t cheap and was rubbish, wouldn’t burn properly and was extremely smoky.

A fantastic site, beautiful view from the caravan across the estuary. Fantastic amenities, clean and tidy. Second visit to this site this year. Ask for pitch 7 if you can as we think it has the best view on the site. Karen and her husband are fantastic hosts, nothing too much trouble. We will be back!! Thanks again.

The site was brilliant, we camped on flat ground, although it rained for a day there was no flooding. The facilities were immaculate and kept that way. Very child friendly, lovely walks straight from the site itself. The lady who runs the site was so friendly and couldn't do enough to make your stay one to remember. We'll definitely be back

Excellent family campsite. Level pitches with tons of space, spotless facilities, showers were hot! Great location and stunning views of Snowdonia. Really safe site, felt comfortable just letting the kids go off and play. Highly recommend a stay at Barcdy.

Mobile phone signal is poor at the site due to surrounding mountains etc, and couldn't seem to access the site Wifi. But, if you're after a digital detox, then it's a plus 😉

Drainage needed on the camping field as started to get boggy in places which were driven on, the pitches were well drained though

Gorgeous clean toilet block. Well kept grounds. Stunning views from our pitch and closest to the toilet which is always a positive with young children. Amenities on each pitch (water, sink waste and electric hook up). Absolutely brilliant site.
