Clean toilets and showers, plenty hot water, spaced out, very quiet, Saxon village opposite and large forest next door.

Owners were rude and condescending - and practiced no social distancing or wore masks while in the property. Not welcoming at all.
Cabin didn’t look like it had been thoroughly cleaned, let alone disinfected
Was told there would be disinfectant wipes and sprays available but there weren’t
Very little effort to combat the spread of covid 19
One night we used the log burner - as advertised - and accidentally made the smoke alarm go off. Nothing burnt - just a bit of smoke. Male owner then came to the cabin and let himself in despite it being 3 young girls staying. Plus he wasn’t wearing a mask. He then continued to patronise and frighten my younger sisters telling them we shouldn’t be using the log burner and that we would have to take things to ‘extreme measures’ if it didn’t go out. Bare in mind we are all adults, with plenty of experience with fires and log burners. I booked through pitch up and NOWHERE on the page does it say you can’t use the log burner. I have stayed at many places like this before and never experienced bad service like this. My sisters were terrified he would come back and shout at them again and didn’t feel safe for the rest of our holiday. I do not expect to be shouted out, told off and patronised by anyone let alone the owners of the facility.
Extremely poor, will not be staying again. Wouldn’t recommend to groups of women/girls - no privacy and patronising.

WiFi was also terrible.

Spacious. Clean. Good facilities. Didn't use but liked the fact there was a pooch wash and free to use. Walk straight into the forest. Very dog friendly. Owners very friendly and helpful but also left you to get on with your holiday.

Nothing

Lovely setting, immaculate in every way, friendly and welcoming. Toilet/shower facilities were spotless and pot washing etc all beautifully designed. Walking into the forest from the site.

It was dark when we arrived and we were expecting to find a reception to check in however a delightful couple walking their dog showed us where to pitch up. Perhaps a heads up on booking that we just arrive and find a pitch and check in will come to us. Wont be a problem next time as we will know what to do.

Wifi was iffy.

Everything! Peaceful site with a genuine, warm, friendly and relaxed welcome from the owners who kept the site and facilities clean and tidy. 😊 Perfect for forest walks with or without a dog. Bonus of a warm, outdoor dog shower for those emergency clean-ups!

people complaining about the lack of wifi!

This was our first visit and we enjoyed our stay. We liked the huge pitches, good facilities and proximity to West Stow Country Park, Kings Forest (good walks), and Lackford Lakes Suffolk Wildlife Trust reserve. The site was very quiet and we liked the dark evening skies.

A really great place for a holiday. We were impressed with the site and the very friendly owners. Jane and Lee was very helpful and nothing was to much trouble for them. On one of the hot days Lee gave everyone on the site a bottle of frozen water. Toilets and shower always clean.

Poor wifi.

Next to the forest, no children screaming. Clean. Great hospitality.

The pot washing facility and shower are too far away from the non-electric grass field, 1 min or 2 walking distance.
The portaloos were in the middle of the field which spoiled the view.
The site is next to the road, so unless you're at the far end, you will hear quite a lot of traffic day and night.
There are not many plants in every field. It would be nicer if there're some shrubs and different trees.
