We are reliant on public transport so this site was ideal - short walk to Reading/Oxford bus for days out or several lovely walking routes from the site. Minor suggestion - a marker near the corners to access the Ridgeway from the site would be helpful. Although map on the board and post near main entrance, we didn't realise it was ok to walk through the private camping area and the field to reach the path at first. An arrow near the edge/private camping to confirm as it was hard to see the gap and no obvious track. Clearly marked returning to site via Ridgeway.

Whilst a great suggestion we cannot create a track through the field as the field is a fully arable and planted field used for crops. Had your stay been before harvest you would have seen that each year we create a cut through the crop to make it obvious, but once harvest is over the field has to be cultivated and prepared for next seasons crops and this means no discernible path. All part of the fun of being a fully working farm!
