Our daughter loves the stream that runs along side, the campsite is flat, busy enough but quiet at night are still plenty of room for the kids to kick a football around. minutes walk from a pub with views to die for. the most lovely walk to Derwent water without it being too much for little legs including a walk through the forest.
Stunning views of catbells to one side and a forest to the other.
The campsite has an ice-cream truck that visits at tea time and the family that run the site couldn't do enough to help you with whatever you need.❤️ A special shout out to their daughter who made friends with our daughter making it even more fun.❤️

Niepolubione: Toilets are portaloo toilets (albeit fancy ones) which were okay night one but the second night I think the solution was changed and the smell was so bad that it was hard breathe in.

Phone signal which was a massive plus for my teenager!
Lovely, clean river runs along left side of field as you enter.
Good base for a hike up cat bells or 20 min walk down to the lake.
Clean, modern toilets and the shower block looked good although we didn't use.
Dogs and campfires allowed; hire there or bring your own.
The pub at the top of the lane isn't open until July so we will definitely be back then as it looks like a lovely place!Great stay and would definitely recommend!

The river near by was great for paddling and a relaxing way to spend the evening. The campsite is picturesque!

Late night noise/music till 1pm+ made it difficult to relax and get the children to sleep.
Police visits on site, perhaps this was for our safety but it was a little unusual and unexpected.
Good for dry days. Otherwise you drown in mud
