Very easy to manoeuvre layout

Place was very nice. Very small but perfect pitches etc had hook up nice clean shower toilets etc. brilliant carp pond on site. We used this site as a base for download festival as it was very close to donnington race course. Pub next door brilliant food. Also a very helpful warden on site. Would use again if in the area 👍

Stayed here for just one night with my two adult daughters who wanted to know what motorhoming is like! The site is literally 3 miles from my house, and is in a stunning location in the middle of countryside and right next to a great pub (location initially chosen in case of bad weather 😉)

Firstly, the site itself is immaculate. The grass is well trimmed, the gravel on the very level pitches is neat and tidy, and the toilet / shower facilities were spotless. The small lake in the middle runs the length of the site and all pitches (c.25 in total) all face onto it giving a lovely outlook.

And finally, the warden, Wayne is one of the best wardens I've come across in several years of motorhoming. Extremely helpful, friendly, good humoured, and very attentive walking round the site frequently checking if anyone needed anything.

Even though this site is literally down the road from where I live, I will likely return for the peace and quiet, and try the fishing in the lake for a nice relaxing break.

Not so much a dislike, but something to be aware of. The campsite is next to a small country road. It's really not very busy at all, but the road is national speed limit (60MPH) so vehicles can (and do) occasionally drive pretty quickly along here. You need to be cautious pulling out of the gate, although there is very clear views in both directions for some distance.

One other thing is that the WiFi is pretty slow, but that's the case in general in this very rural area so not the campsite's failing.

The warden, Wayne, is wonderful; approachable, knowledgeable and has everything you need if you've forgotten it!
Site is well maintained, toilet block always clean. Coded gate means the site is secure and children are safe to roam freely. The little play area keeps them entertained.
Small lake is beautiful and lovely to fish on (bits and pieces for hire if needed).
Pitches are large, quiet by 11pm is enforced. Site was full when we stayed but didn't feel busy as overall it's a small site.
Close to lots of attractions; Conkers, Drayton Manor, Twycross zoo. Ashby has larger supermarkets and Measham has a Tesco Extra.
A fabulous stay! We returned this year after staying last year but we needed to trial our new tent. Even better stay this time around!
Highly recommended for families and couples.

Far away from shops pub next to site didn’t serve any food 🤷‍♂️ toilets and shower facilities very poor could it have couple drinking tap extra on site
