In spite of the many plus points, we will never come here again. The main reason is the inexplainable and quite irresponsible pool policy. Although Italy is in the midst of a heat wave (nearing 50 degrees Celsius in some southern parts), they only open they pool at 10 am and close the pool between 1pm and 3pm.
Furthermore, the pool guard runs the pool (which is very undeep) unnecessarily strict. She has a whistle that she will use to let you know that you are not allowed jump in the pool, play with a ball, etc.
When children come without their parents, they get sent away. Minors (even with 3 swimming diplomas) cannot come to the pool without an adult accompanying them. We saw kids get humiliated by this lady. It is really awful. Our kids were terrified of her and found the camping awful. They were glad to finally be able to leave.
What also doesn’t help, is the insane number of attacks by aggressive mosquitos at dusk, when the sun is about to set till about midnight.
This camping will only work for families with children up to about 5 years old. Kids that are able to swim by themselves, are not allowed to relax and just be kids.
We are not unreasonable. At first we found it reassuring that the lifeguard was so rigid, but after a while even we as parents started to feel uncomfortable and on edge, having to go to the pool.
