We booked a pod it was brilliant, all home comforts, fridge, mini kitchen area with sink and oven plus stove top. Electricity so charging phones and lighting available.
The site is rural but close to main roads to allow exploring Cornwall easy. Not too busy, extra facilities including showers, toilets and a communal area for washing up, fridge freezer open all hours. As the site is rural you get the most amazing clear view of stars at night, it was great lots of shooting stars, great evening entertainment whilst enjoying a drink. Outdoor seating and fire pit was a bonus, wood required supplied by the site owner. we had one night in a storm and the pod was so cosy we didn't even notice it. Very clean on arrival and everything we needed to hand including a water supply close to pod so very easy to replenish supplies.

The facilities on this site were second to none. The shower facilities were clean and very accommodating. The site also had a separate cabin to wash pots which included a fridge freezer and a washing machine. The lady owner of the site could not have been more helpful if she tried. Each morning she did her rounds to make sure all the occupants were ok and she did the same in the evening. On our last night there was a bad storm and she went above and beyond to make sure we were all safe, helped make tents secure in the pouring rain and even offered campers with children the night in one of her static caravans.

This site will definitely be one we visit regular

Great location. The views were nice. Hot showers. Kettle and toaster for use. Lots of information and the owner was really helpful.

Lovely site, great pitch, good position and size for us, facilities were clean and tidy. Sheran was always cheerful and helpful, if we had any problems just let her know. Storm Betty arrived on Friday the day before we were due to come home, Sheran brought her van up and parked it outside our tent to protect us from the wind, she said that she would sort us beds elsewhere on the site if we wanted to stay till the following day. Our porch blew in, she helped us to make it safe as everything began to fall over. We decided to abandon and get everything in the cars and come home.

When we arrived we did not get a pitch that we had asked for due to another camper refusing to move from that pitch. I called the owner and she was very accommodating and found us a pitch which worked out perfectly.
The showers were good, warm and good size.
Location is good for central / south Cornwall. Good facilities in the washing up area/shed. Information on where to go/eat/dog friendly and not etc.

Shower / toilet areas were not cleaned as frequently as I feel they should be, often quite muddy and grassy. Toilet roll often unavailable. Cars driving around the campsite at all hours of the night, often just to go to the toilets….I feel a curfew or restriction on this is necessary. It’s not a huge site so perfectly reasonable to just walk! Bins need to be managed better. They are always overflowing and there was a lot of rubbish at the bin area. People leaving items that they really should not didn’t help (such as tents, bbq’s, mattresses etc) but perhaps section areas out for different types of waste…..

We arrived 4.5hrs early. As we had a trailer it would have been very hard for us to park in tourist locations. We called the owner and she was more than happy to allow us on our pitch. We was able to set up a lot earlier than expected and after a 6.5hr drive it was bliss to relax that evening (before the terrible weather). Throughout our stay the owner checked up on us and literally could not make us feel anymore welcome. She gifted us various amounts of fire wood and marshmallows. We loved the location of our pitch and everyone who stayed around us were extremely respectful. The owner clearly works her a*se off ! Some poor reviews left by others who stayed at the same time is just complete nonsense. Who stays in a field and doesn’t expect to see a few spiders or any other creepy crawlies ? Get real please ! Yea there was rubbish from over flowing bins but they forget to mention the fact campers had been chucking big boxes in the bins WITHOUT flattening them first ! The bin area was complete tidied up the next morning. Yes some cars to come in late in the evening but not once did a vehicle enter the site after 11pm. I say live and let live. I would 100% stay again and so would my kids who already want us to book again. Great campsite with a great owner! We thank you for our great stay. If you read this your truly doing a great job and just want you to know your efforts are not wasted.

This is my 1 and only remark that I would like to make and I have already discussed this with the owner.

Please for your sake next season have the pitches on the top field marked out. There was far too many people taking the mick out of your kind nature and I think clearly marked out pitches will stop this. Give them an inch and they will take a mile!
