Lovely clean site, showers and toilet block was always clean. Lovely and friendly atmosphere.i didn't have small children but the children that was there loved the freedom and the site it very relaxed. Plenty of place for water, lovely little town not far away.

The showers where very hot and couldn't turn them down, abit unsure on how much space we had as it wasn't made very clear. Traffic was quite loud and started at 4am

The female manager wasn't very accommodating, rude and short with me on the phone.Also with the other people camping around us, which unfortunately ruins the potential use of this site again for us and will prevent me recommending this site to anyone else.

It was a very quiet site. Majority seemed to be fixed holiday pitches. Facilities clean if perhaps a little tired. Paying for showers is a personal irk but they were hot. Great location within easy reach of Monmouth and the Wye.

We had a lovely time at the site, it is well maintained and in a nice flat location. The site manager was lovely and very helpful, toilets and showers beautifully clean and well presented and surrounding area great for tourists. Oh and the wi-fi is great and very helpful as I had very poor phone signal.

What a lovely location for a campsite, near to so many great places (Symonds Yat, Forest of Dean, Breacons, Wye Valley, Black Mountains etc). We had a very large grass pitch which was excellent for the boys, and a great park where they met lots of friends after their busy days out.

Location. Conveniently close to Monmouth and a nice ambience and views. Some reviews complain about road noise. Look at the map! It is near the A40 dual carriageway so this shouldn't be a surprise. We did not find the noise intrusive. There are many residential pitches - some reviews complain of unfriendly residents. We found no evidence of this - we find that if you are friendly with your neighbours they almost always reciprocate.

Site management was very poor. On arrival we were only given a site map showing our pitch location. No other information was provided, not even the location of services or emergency contact details. When we asked about grey water disposal, we were directed to a metal drain cover so close to a fence that it was impossible to get our motorhome outlet over it with space to operate the release valve! We arrived on Monday afternoon and left on Friday morning. The toilet block was not cleaned at all during this period. Thursday evening the hot water supply at the dishwashing sinks failed to work and we had no details of who mto contact about the problem. There was still no hot water in the block on Friday morning. When we complained about the lack of cleaning, we were told that the cleaner was unwell - there were no contingency plans for this. There were holes you could see through due to rot in the corners of the windows in the mens toilet area. Only three out of four toilets and showers were working in the men's area. We feel we were paying for services that were inadequate. Sadly, we would only return if there was clear evidence of significant improvement.
