Quiet, roomy campsite, next to Sedbergh, a lovely village with some great pubs. Loved the band that played in the evening, lots of fun

Site is not fit for purpose. When we arrived there were multiple vans stuck in the mud. We were told the farmer had been begrudgingly towing people out but now couldn’t be found. Luckily there was help on hand and we got a tow out and managed to park up.

We went down to the toilets and the smell was horrendous. The irony was that they were perfectly clean so must have been the drains or something. As others have noted, no paper towels or anyway to fry your hands. The toilets are only open for a few hours each day and then it’s a portaloo, we couldn’t see one in the field we were in.

Luckily managed to find another place to stay so didn’t stay overnight. If we were in our 20s I’m sure it would have been ok but with a young family it just wasn’t for us.

One or two Port-a-loos on each field which, when the campsite was full, was shared between a lot of people; became extremely dirty and unclean.

Only two showers on the whole site which are charged at £3 per shower. Lack of hot water and water pressure in addition to waiting for 40 mins + for a shower.

Showers directly opposite seating area were a bit uncomfortable with some people also trying to open the door at busy times.

Not enough showers for the size of the campsite and not very private being right outside where all of the entertainment is , could perhaps be in a bit more private location with more showers .
Some of the roads up to the fields need to be sorted vehicles struggling to get to the fields very wet and sludgy perhaps gravel the roads to the fields .

Lots of space

2 showers for such a big site isn't great, also should be free.
Access to camping areas need attention as lots of vehicles having difficulty in mud.

Peaceful location, liked the barn with the live music and the animals too. Loved we could build our own fire and they came round providing us with wood.

Took my boy here over the weekend me and my boyfriend travelled from eastbourne and my teenager from stockton, very welcomed friendly people would highly recommend! And we Will definitely be back!

Location was very nice, enjoyed the walks.

As soon as we arrived we got stuck in the mud and there was no staff/owners anywhere to be seen.When I contacted them they couldn't come, because no one was available till after 4pm. THANKS to very nice, helpful people we were pushed out of mud and it took 10 people including my kids to push us out into a different spot. There was a very kind man with 4x4 car and tried to help us, but it was not successful, but we were very thankful for help. He helped few other cars at least 4 since we've been stuck. There was another lady who needed help with her camper. She payed for 2 nights, but never stay because she need her camper to move around the area,but it was impossible to take your car/van once you've parked. Mud everywhere so it was impossible. We were covered in mud and campervan as well. It was horrendous. Toilets were full of .... Thanks god for our portable one. Showers were £3, but once you had it and walked to your camper/tent you were cover in mud so no point. Definitely do not recommended and will never use/stay, rather stay in nearest parking spot. 2 nights was enough for my family. Never seen anything like it and I've stayed in few campsites.
